I mailed MCA about it and he says:
Yeah, it's a Fallout game that Digital Mayhem is developing,
not Black Isle,
so I don't know too much about the particulars.

He also said he didn't have anything to do with Fallout Tactics.

Please, god, let's boycott this game. Why go through the same shit we did with Fallout Tactics?

Well at least all those poll votes were good for something.

I don't care if they pump out a shitty game to spite the fans or even try and make money. If you wanted a game like this there's apocalyptica or whatever it's called, and it's prettier than this.

If Interplay do 'want to start a new franchise' why use the fallout name? THOSE DAMN DIRTY APES!

I like how not only are they fucking over Fallout, but they're perpetuating the stereotype that console games should be simple and action oriented and all the deep games belong on the computer in the process.

We're not in Kanzas anymore, Toto... and it's freaking me out.

Fallout-Fantasy lives? Who would've guessed? Is this the time for a whole lot of "We told you so" posts over at the Interplay forums?

I think that is because at one time, the fans were very praising of the developers. Then along came a time when they were lied to, then told to swallow a game with a shitload of bugs. After that, they get another chain jerk and overhyped game, lies etc. involved with that.

Are people supposed to be happy?

And trust me, compared to games like King's Field and Xenogears, I'm pretty sure this one will tank soooo fucking hard. It already looks like shit, and if they lobotomized what made Fallout good from it, it's truly fucked.

Hehe. :)

Hey, I already coined up a new slang term.

Spin-Out: Boneheads of Steal, a tale about foolish developers at Digital Morons as they take a license for their own foolish fuckery at the tail-end of Interplay's last swirl around the shitcan.

I'm not defending Interplay, neither am I blaming the fans, I'm just stating that dumping original FO audience was a logical decision from Interplay.

This sickens me to the core. Fuck the PS2. I'm not going to buy it for some shittier FOT ripoff. We toil away giving them ideas on how to make the game better and they dump us for the console asshole.

"We're on the verge of bankruptcy, lets finally make a fallout game. Better yet, make it for the console!"

For fucks sake, could it be any worse. Now I've got to listen to everyone I know with a PS2 and XBOX in Q4 say they've got the new fallout game before me even though I'm a bigger fan than they are. I hope it's shit, pure shit.

And how the hell does that make sense? By dumping the core audience, they only get bad press and might just barely get new people. Just like...Fallout Tactics.

It's the same exact thing X-COM had going on for it, if you didn't pay attention to the numerous times that's been pointed out.
