...and double ugh!
Anyways, according to CA, that statement about them not being sterile (Marcus at the Cats Paw) is just a fluke, they truly are sterile.
Again, sterile, NOT impotent!

Last time I played, I beat the master to death with a Super Sledge.
And the Overseer as well actually.

"I'm sorry, but we can't let you back in... Hey! Why are you swinging that hugely big hammer around like that?"
*THUD!*
*THUDTHUDTHUDTHUDTHUD!!!
The first time I killed the master, I used my trusty old Gatling Laser
Subsequently, I have tried most of the other ways, including getting his robots to kill him...

I haven't heard about that before... do you do something to make them kill him or just stand between them and him?

You stand between tha master and one of the robots, and when he tries to shoot you, the other robot attacks him.
Easy as 1024, 2048, 4096!

Walk into Cathedral, big gun, big grin, spare no one. Kill all. ALL MUST DIE. Kill the Master. Kill way to the Vats. Kill ALL (including the human). Kill ALL the WORLD. Kill the overseer. Kill self once you run out of people to kill.

Kill everyone except Dogmeat. I like dogmeat. The rest can all rot in hell.

I always enjoyed running up, dropping tons of explosives, and taking cover.

Yeah, it's a shame you couldn't use jerky to pick up wandering dogs. Then you could strap explosives to them and use russian tactics.
It'd be even better with chihuahuas.
Give Ian a knife, swap lit explosives into his inventory, wait until he charges and run like hell.

Russian tactics

During early world war 2, russian infantry was inadequate against german panzers, as they had few weapons and a small arsenal. They supposedly trained dogs to run under tank treads, and then they would strap explosives to the dogs when they sent them at real tanks.
Dogs are small, fast, hard to hit, and even more expendable than russians(WWII - Remember the government didn't think much of sacrificing it's citizens - or removing, erasing, assasinating, etc. rabble rousers). Often the dog could get through to the tank with ease, and would wind up blowing a tread off. Russian sharpshooters would then play merry hell with the infantry and anyone dumb enough to stick their head outside of the tank.
That was the theory, at least. I've never seen official results, but it sounds doable - especially with Russian psychology being what it was.
