Hey Senor, welcome back. Send me any new tiles and I'll post them. If you want to make any curved wall tiles that would be cool.

Senor Deluxe wrote:Hello everyone!

I´m back among the living...just finished my diploma, five months of work, where I didn´t have the time to check the forums... :(

So I´ve seen, JJ86 has posted my tiles, THANKS A LOT!!! I´ve got some more (nothing new though, at least not at the moment), but I could send them to you, JJ86, would you post them?

Suggestions for tiles I could make are welcome again, but (as always) I cannot promise, when they´ll be done, I have to figure out again, how this whole thing works. As I said, I hadn´t time to look at Reds Viewer for half a year...

Glad, you guys are still around!!! :D
Holly Goodness, SD back? *Pee's pants in excitement* Lol!
Good ot see you back SD. how did your project go?
You know, we don't have any good iron fences like those you can find in rich guys mansions. Some would be very welcomed.

And though I was meaning to make some of mine, straw made walls could be of use(not very fallouty I guess, but not impossible. i want them for a short after the war scenario). any luck with those animated tiles you were building for the cafeteria?

*OMG, they remember me!!!...phew.*

OK, lets see:

JJ86: Curved walls? I´m not sure, what exactly you mean, do you think of rounded corners? A small sketch or some photo would help me getting the idea.

MV: Alright.

Flamescreen: Iron Fences like in rich guys mansions...uh...I´m not rich, so I´m not exactly sure, what you have in mind. As with JJ86´s request some specifications would help here as well (how wide, how high, sample sketch/photo/whatever), otherwise I may come up with something you won´t use. Btw, my project developed quite good (it was the development of an medical injection device for drugs) and now I´m not a student anymore! :D

Anyway, at first, I´d like to do smaller sets, while getting used to tile-making again (I remember there have been problems with flags on some of my tiles, and I don´t want to discover I ran into the same errors again after having made a big set of tiles). So I thought, maybe I could do some signs for anyone? I got some nice 50s fonts collected over the last weeks and would love to use them ;)

Here´s some sort of request I have for you: I´d like to make some BAR/SALOON/CAFE signs and I found it nice, that in FO1/2 those places had special names, like "Golden Gecko", maybe you guys can come up with some fallouty ideas for bars and such. "Sober Scorpion", "Drunken Deathclaw", "Blastwave Bar", stuff like that. I´d love to hear your ideas.
Any other ideas are welcome as well, of course!

Sure. That could be arranged! :)

Some of the flag problems we later solved. Anyway better to have the tile and worry about the flag than have the...um, flag and worry about the tile, no? :P

Dunno, how about...Venom Sting, Gecko Getto, Puko Nuko? :)
Ok not suberb, but it's a start...

Ok, ok...I'll pay you allright. Five bottlecaps each seems reasonable, ok?
:P

*don't tell anyone* It was your post, words like ghouls and fat triggered my earlier FO memories. Btw, have to check those tiles/sprites on your/JJ's sites. Go check JJ's new sprites. Good ones!

Hey SD, I've got a couple "generic" tile requests:
  1. Different-colored versions of the BOS wall tiles that have the green "bubbles" (for lack of a better term) on the end. The actual tilename is BOS_Wall_Metal_InteriorPlainEnd_C_2_XX. If ya could, I could also use the halfsize versions as well. Red, blue, yellow, and white would be great :)
  2. Um, that's actually about it.

This isnt excatly a custom tile request, but a custom sprite request =). Could anyone, JJ maybe, put some items sprites together if I provide the pictures?

1. A crate sprite. What I mean is taking the crate tile and turning it into a sprite. I was thinking about using it for a job where the player has to pick "something" up and it has to be a secret.. to the player. So I cant just give him the real stuff. Hmm. Of course I could just use the backpack sprite maybe, but im not really sure where it is.. :-. Also a crate would be much coooler for this.

2. A bone club. I was thinking about making a bone club from the leg bone club item in Torment. Im in the process of getting the pic now. The reciving room logbook would be cool for a bible I need as well and while im at the PT stuff, a item using Pharods crutch would be cool too, I dont have an important use for that right now, but if youre willing to make it it would be cool. Theres actuallly alot of misc Torment items that would be great for Fallout now that im looking through this catalogue..

http://torment.db-forge.com/armory/armory/

The cranium rat and cockroach charms would be cool too for lootable dead bodies (You know some people have rat and roach problems and im sure theyd pay for a little exterminating =). I hope im not asking for too many sprites here, but I could very much use those as well, especially the cockroach ones.

The quality of the pics on that site isnt very good and not true size all of them. Extracting them from the game would probaly be better than using these. I can do that myself.

3. A hazmat armor. Armor for highly contaminated and radiated areas. Im gona find a pic for that as well and then use the environ armor sprite for in game.

Ill probaly come up with more today or tomorrow. I hope someone would help me out with this =). I have vacation now so I wana spend alot of time mapping the locations to my campaign. Starting from the bottom with sprite making would be a killer, plus getting a copy of photoshop. Ergh.

EDIT: Btw JJ those new sprites on your site are great! I was actually gona put rations on this list, but you already made some =). Nice.

Um, MV: just to be sure, you mean the "bubbles" should have different colors, right? And for the half-size versions, they should be 2x2 and 6 units high instead of 12?

I was thinking curved building walls same height as standard walls but for a radius of 2 squares or even more? A radius of 1 square might be too small but if that will work easier then do that. If its possible to have the larger radius curves cut apart so each takes up only one tile that would make it easier to assemble. Also would need matching roof and floor tiles. :D

You can send them to me and I'll get on it when I've got some time. Right now I have about eight I have to make for requiem yet. It may be a few weeks.

JJ86: okay, but for which walls? Or should I make them just neutral grey cornerstones? Have you tried the corners of my big tileset (the one with the blue walls and the round windows)? These walls have rounded corners, I think 2 squares radius. But then, maybe those walls might look too special for your purpose...

Btw, I haven´t been able to get a newer version of Red!´s viewer (I´ve been searching NMA as well as DAC), I´m still working with 16_0_11. Anyone can send me the latest version or point me to it?

Yeah, just plain gray concrete walls. I don't think I've seen the other corners you made.

SD, I don't think I'd ever seen your work before I saw it posted on JJ86's page. Great stuff man.
Mind if I ask what program you use?
