take this somewhat hypothetical. You hire a babysitter to watch your children, she is four months pregnant but is a friend of the family. Everything goes well, there are no calls from the babysitter reporting trouble and you have a relaxing night out. You arrive home late and enter you home to hear screaming from the living room. You race to the living room and arrive to find the babysitter on the ground getting kicked in the back by two men, a third man turns to you and you see a pistol in his hand. If you are in possession of a CCW and are armed would you fire on the individual to save yourself and the babysitter? given that you are confident in your ability to draw and aim before you are fired upon.
the actual situation was not as nice as you see above. no one arrived home in time to protect her. the babysitter was assualted while she was watching a couple's young children, three men broke into the home and beat her so badly she has three breaks in her spine and will most likely lose the baby. even if you had to kill her attacker to save her would you shoot him?
I never figured out why people have a problem with killing invaders of your territory. Telling people to call the police or use mercy on people threatening your life is going against the fundamentals of nature. It's like natural selection. Kill or be killed. Survival of the fittest.
Now if they're messing with your stuff, not threatening your life, make sure they won't have any functioning arms to steal anymore. But if you accidentaly kill them, oh well. No loss to society.
Who cares? Do you seriously believe that their life is worth preserving? I fucking don't. Like Hammer put it, a double-tap to the back of the head.
I find it hard to believe some of you people play Fallout. Of course there's always the "diplomatic" approach to everything in that game. When I tried that more often than not I ended up as a pool of human gore.
Shoot first, ask questions later.
I seriously hate the idea of not allowing people to defend themselves. This world has gone soft. All of you people who prefer to have people do things for you are weak and will not survive. That's not how things work. You can't expect people to clean up after you and sort out your problems.
I'm not a Christian, I don't have a religion, but so-called "Christians" that proport this bullshit anti-gun, anti-violence agenda are contradicting themselves and their religion when they conveniently overlook certain passages in the Bible such as the one you posted.
Another FYI, the Catholic Church considers self-defense a duty and is not against gun ownership. The anti-gun churches tend to be tiny, Protestant denominations.
I would silently take them down with a baseball bat, no qualms about it. I have to assume someone in my home is going to try to hurt me. I always keep tie-wraps handy so it is easy to hog-tie them once they are unconscious.
Of course, shooting somebody in the balls if their causing great danger to you/close friend/family!
KillaKilla's logic:
FOT and FO: BOS weren't FO at all!........... 1. I am nobody
DOGMEAT is God. Never dispute this!........ 2. Nobody is perfect
Up and coming hardware nerd.................. 3. Hence I am perfect
they'd make some attractive paper-weights, but i wouldn't want to use them in a real gun fight. give me a nice hi-cap Para-Ordanace P.14 and i'd be good to go.

Akimbo Desert Eagles would most likely get you two broken wrists at worst and a terrible sprain at best. If you fired them, that is. Flash them at a thief with no gun, though, and you'll get a piss stain on your rug.
Ahoy all, this will be my first post since gun control topic catch my eye, or that should be angries up the blood.
Killing a person isn't good and should be avoided but sometimes some people just deserve a bullet. I don't belive in shooting a man in the back unless he's a danger to someone else, it's just not sporting  I do belive in Make My Day laws though, your home is your castle.
I hate when people suggest you call the police when someone breaks into your house instead of defending yourself, of course you should call the police but it's probably going to take at least 3 minutes to get to your house, a lot can happen in 3 minutes and in that time I'd like to have the means to defend my family.
It's a dangerous world out there and there are people who would willingly kill me to get at my computer, if someone has broken into my house while I'm home I'm going to assume they have the intent to kill me because it takes some big balls to break in while someone is home.
George Bush lowered taxes so the Jews could kill Michael Moore.
Guess that makes them the B.A.R. of the pistol world...
The B.A.R was a helluva fine weapon at the time. Sure it's 20lbs but I look at that as an advantage! Imagine shooting a 8lb weapon chambered in 30.06 on automatic.
Only thing that bugged me was the wingnut adjusted bipod, so I just keep my down when I'm out in the field.....
