Whenever I see Homogolosdafasfd I think of LORD HUMOUNGUS WARRIOR OF THE WASTELAND and then I laugh.
Cool picture, d00d. Welcome to the forums and all that.

That isn't the same guy who did the artwork displayed inside the Warcraft 3 manual is it? It doesn't look like the same, unless he's made serious progression since the days of WC 2. (Which is entirely possible...) If it's the same guy, he's really good now, but I never liked his older work too much. When the first Diablo came out, my freinds drew the same conclusions from the manual art with that game as well, but since I had never seen his work before that, he couldn't really have influenced me. But looking back, my style was very similar to his then, albeit with only a meager sixteen years of life experience. I don't do too much typical fantasy anymore, got kind of burnt out on it.

The one on the site you linked is fantastic. So did you just draw that with a normal No. 2 pencil or what?
I'm mostly keen on using cheap ballpoint pens. I've improved greatly from the stuff on my Deviant Art site. I'm going to have to post my new stuff when I get a scanner so I can compete with you. Haha
I really like the texturized look you pulled off. I also really like how the smoke looks.
Beautiful stuff.
Keep it coming, Fallout-y or not.

Yeah, I used a number 2 for that one, and it was drawn on the back of a college assignment I never finished. I use pretty low grade supplies, I've been meaning to pick up some more though. I have been inducted into the Fallout PNP European sourcebook "staff", so I'll be producing some Fallout themed stuff real soon. I love sketching in ball point pens, nice and gritty, good ink for shading, cheap and expendable. Your work is impressive too, and the best thing for an artist is competition! BTW, your avatar kicks ass! Travis Bickle is my hero!

Thanks for the comment, Hemo. I really appreciate it.
It's good to know I'm not the only one that uses low-grade materials to produce high-quality work. My art teacher would always scold me and say that I would never be able to produce anything of a higher caliber with a cheap ten cent pen. I think I've proven her wrong.
P.S. - The avatar is actually me, oddly enough. Travis Bickle is my hero too and I copied his mohawk. Some people do say I look like Deniro though. Haha

The artist from both the warcraft and starcraft manuals with the same style is named Metzen.
Has a nice rough style, and his protoss pics were f*cking brilliant.
The one with the fineline-art is Samwise.
Both are not only artists, but one of them is the lead designer afaik.
Nice pic! Awesome!

I remember Metzen's drawings in that old WCII manual. Good stuff.
Two other good artists (did Shadowrun stuff):
Peter Bergting and
Tom Baxa. I like 'em anyway.

Dingo, you need to invest in a yellow cab, a .45, and an army jacket, and clean up the scum. Baxa is a great artist, Timothy Bradstreet and Simon Bisely are great artists too. (Vampire: The Masquerade, Lobo, Heavy Metal) I'm actually working on some Fallout stuff now, I'll probably post it next week. I was thinking about scanning a few things I have laying around, maybe I'll bleed 'em through one at a time.

You stupid dead-thread beating shit gobbler, you brought this thread back up for a weak-ass attempt at discrediting my opinion of you. All you're doing is continuing your history of retardation.
Maybe you should keep away from trying to insult me, and stick to your awe inspiring animations.

It's very Giger-esque... I remember Samwise and Metzen from drawing orcs in the Warcraft 1 manual, back in the day.
And wasn't Heavy Metal drawn by Luis Royo?
