Seen the recent commercials? It's all about the fly-ass dudes playing video games before picking up the bulemic chicks en route to the dancedance parlor.
Since it's big money, TV wants you to know that video games are no longer the exclusive property of the socially inept. That means jocks, nyackahs, sluts, and so forth will be playing. Or at least will be portrayed as playing in movies, commercials, and music videos. That means sex appeal.
I see no reason why games won't get the same media handjob as movies have. If you don't believe it now, keep consulting TV. She will groom you to believe it.

More mainstream but they'll never come close to a PC graphics and quality wise. And that's begining to changge standard commercial computers can run some pretty great games without buying a new graphics card.
That's very true. Console gaming is simply more accessible than PC gaming. You buy the box, plug that in there and this in here, pop in a CD and you're off! And the games are extremely simple, to boot.
The new windows operating system is supposed to have gaming in mind as a major future. Supposedly they're working on a system wher you'll do a) Pop in the cd b)play the game instantly. It'll cut out installation completely somehow. At least that's what I heard.
I've always hated most console games with a vengence. For example, I hate the Legend Of Zelda Series.(Although Ocarina Of Time was cool.)
You just can't expect the series to be more than it is. I enjoyed it from A Link to the Past onward, I think it's a fun little action/adventure game witha neat albeit somewhat trite story.
