I still don't get the logic behind why Fallout 3 can't be as good as Fallout 1 because they're different people. That's like saying Fallout 1 is the absolute best thing ever created in the history of everything, and it's absolutely um-possible to ever, ever attain such a height again. Maybe not to that extreme. But.
It's being made by someone who loves the game - at least one person who loves the game. Possibly more, who knows. Maybe one of the artists loves his pictures so much he goes home and masturbates to them, that's love of the game right there; I'm sure I'd trust such a person to bring me a quality product.
What?
Anyway, truth be told, we don't know jack shit about the game so far, other than the fact that the concept art looks badass (dare I say it, BETTER than Fallout 1's concept art? Sure it's nice cause it's Fallout, but I mean really, it's not even very well drawn.) and SPECIAL is being changed, for, as the lead designer sees it, the better. Some of what he's changing even makes sense to us and is generally thought to be good, whereas some of what he's saying we don't like all that much and is generally thought to be bad. Who's to say what will work within the context of the game though?
Personally, I've got high hopes for this game. No reason to be cynical about it. In the words of Mistah Robert Heinlein (roughly), I've only ever found cynics to be right as often as the optimists. Seems they just have a worse time of it.

That's only because I haven't seen a game that could top Fallout yet, I believe it's pretty difficult to make a better one, especially when it's supposed to be a sequel to a said game,SuperH wrote:I still don't get the logic behind why Fallout 3 can't be as good as Fallout 1 because they're different people. The guy in your signature probably loves Fallout quite a bit too; would you trust him to create the next Fallout?
