129 on this test.
As for IQ Tests, any IQ tests on paper are definitely crap. If they ask riddle-based questions, they're not real IQ tests, because riddles can't be 'solved' by just the mind - you have to learn the damn riddle first, as it's possible to provide many different answers for even the simplest riddles, if you're creative enough.
For example, the riddle:
There is a man in a town who has married hundreds of different women, yet he has not committed polygamy. Why is that?
The answer for this riddle is - "he is a priest"
Of course, if you're creative you could come up with an answer like "He's a special case - each time his wife died he married another woman. This happened many times during the course of his life." and yet it would be 'wrong'.
Also, math-related questions, such as those pertaining to Algebra, Trig and Calculus shouldn't be included in IQ tests with the reason that you have to learn the formulae in order to understand them, but they are - so you have to learn them.
In any case, much of a real IQ test (like the one Einstein took) consists of a bunch of puzzles handed out to you in systematic fashion and you're given the task of solving these puzzles. The method by which you solve the puzzles and the amount of time you take to solve them counts to your IQ.
There are of course plenty of logic-related puzzles as well.
So the IQ tests most people take, even the 'MENSA' ones aren't very accurate at all. Some people could simply be good memorizers, but it doesn't mean that they have any ingenuity to have figured out the stuff on their own had they not learned it from someone, or some book. And yet, they will score higher than those without knowledge, who possess real ingenuity.

Nah, I got 118 in this one (and a presicion processor thingy), and 155 in the "real" one.Gimp Mask wrote:Sounds like you got around 84Dan wrote:This is shit, there's a differnetial of 37 points between how I scored on a real test and how I scored in this one...

KillaKilla's logic:
FOT and FO: BOS weren't FO at all!........... 1. I am nobody
DOGMEAT is God. Never dispute this!........ 2. Nobody is perfect
Up and coming hardware nerd.................. 3. Hence I am perfect

Eh! Rex... about that 'real' IQ test thing, I looked for some stuff on it, and it was indeed a real IQ test by your definition. First a standardized-written deal, followed by a series of timed logic puzzles judged by 3 or 4 people. Of course that was a while ago so I don't remember much.
Yes. Fucking idiot.Killa-Killa wrote:a Real IQ test?

I took an IQ test for the college I attend...I got a 149 on it. On this Emode thing, I got ten points less. I've since retaken the test from my college, and got a 153. I know I'm not getting smarter..I drink too much to have gained brain cells.
This all depends on your mood.
I was feeling good the day (Friday) I got the 153 on my college's IQ test...I had reconciled some differences with my significant other, and life was peachy...When I got the 139 (Emode), I had just been in a nice little fight with said significant other.
My guess....We're all morons. We spend a lot of time on these DAC forums that should be spent reading Douglas Adams or Will Self...Or we could be downloading internet pornography and wanking it constantly.
