At the age of 11, I found a book orientated on modern war in the library. Within i found a picture of a child caught in the heat wave of the nagasaki bomb. He was a mannequin of ash, almost exactly like the flamethrower death animation that leaves the body completely intact (doesn't turn to powder) but blackened in Fallout.

I have had detailed premonition style nightmares about nuclear apocalypse. Playing Fallout 1 from the age of 10 did this to me, and I regret nothing. It's a fascinating subject, that plane is something of a symbol for the nukes that could destroy everything as we know it pretty much instantly, and unstoppably. It's a power that should not exist, but a memorial to it's creation is... satisfying.
