Wacom Tablet Please
Heh, yeah, I guess making them bleed from every orifice gives them a bit of creepiness eh?
As far as drawing on computer vs pen and paper, I do both. I always draw on stuff (like my notes in class) irl, but I'm also comfortable using photoshop, and I wanted to see what it would be like having the amount of control that affords over an image when it came to physically drawing it. I get a separate layer for the outline, for the detail, for the shading, for the blood - so I can tweak any one element without disturbing anything around it, even directly above or below it. Of course it takes more work than standard drawing, but hell, I think it pays off, I really like what I've managed to do so far.

The second one is kinda reminiscent of the Scrab creatures from Oddworld: Abe's Exodus.

Wacom (The big brand name in) tablets aren't 40 bucks. New ones come cheapest at 100 dollars. Mine was a refurbished one, and 75, but supposedly you can get them for 65. The store that had them though was either running out or ran out - they only had them on backorder.
Here's another one I did last night, I don't like it anywhere near as much, but after going to school, using it for hours, then working, then using it some more, my creativity was definately getting low.

Yeah, I see where you're coming from... I guess I just don't know how to use the software properly. When I use a brush, I know what it will look like on canvas, and I know what kind of a pencil I need, to make a picture look like I want it to, you know what I mean? I'm just not familiar with this computer drawing shit, and with my attention span, can't be fucked to learn either.... Another thing is that when I draw on paper, I can quickly rotate the paper any way around, I do that quite a lot. Rotating tablet, though, isn't very helpfulSuperH wrote: I get a separate layer for the outline, for the detail, for the shading, for the blood - so I can tweak any one element without disturbing anything around it, even directly above or below it. I need to buy a scanner I guess, any recommendations?

I have an older Wacom Graphire. It's a better investment than a scanner IMO. You can use the tablet as a mouse, so it's not just for drawing. Also the tip has different levels of pressure sensitivities allowing for some cool effects. The resolution possible is also a million times better than any possible scanned drawings. And plus at less than $100 it is a better deal than a scanner for twice the price. The Intuous tablets are more expensive with a larger size but still are a good deal. If you can draw with a pencil, you can draw with a tablet just as easily if not more so.

No, I don't particularly have a point behind them. Other than, especially obvious in the case of the tounge up there, that something isn't necessarily evil and scary because it's different. I try and make them seem like... I donno regular people or something? The smoke I put on them for the same reason I make them bleed all over - they look neat that way heh.
