Yes, apologize to me. I misunderstood what port leaks via Outlook meant and interpreted it as my post.

You insult merely shattered my already fragile self-esteem, and I plan to sit at home crying and eating bon-bons for the next 2 months.

BTW, what's the password? I guessed but I can't crack this shizzle...

I seem to be have trouble getting it to run. No matter what *.bat file i choose start, I always end up get tossed back in to XP. This of course after a few minutes of staring at the well known S.T.A.L.K.E.R. logo/picture.

The end of the log file reads:

SERVER: Starting...
CLIENT: Connecting to 'localhost'...
Assertion failed in file C:\Projects\xr3DA\NET_Client.cpp, line 110.
Expression was 'DPNERR_NORESPONSE'

Something tells me I'm missing some files, but that can't be, since others seem to somehow have gotten it to run.

Any ideas, people?

something tells me it's a 9 month old alpha, and probably doesn't run on each and every computer in the world.
Just a guess though

Yes, it's a nine month old pre-alpha build, and you're probably right. But still, it would have been interesting (for me at least) to find out what make mine different from others.

Your computer is different than others, not the game file. It's surely something driver-related. Be it your video or sound card, or some OS settings.
