Kashluk Farted and wrote:Who downloads demos these days? I'm not going to spend an afternoon on my computer downloading a 50MB - 400MB package just to try a few levels of Yet Another Average PC Game.
IF the game gets good reviews I'll
- download it with p2p services
- try it out
AND THEN buy a real copy if it's worth it
if it's NOT worth it, then I'll at least have
*something* to do during the rainy days
Um, right Kashluk...thats one of the stupidest things I've heard ever.
You'll pirate the FULL version of the game, which is 4x larger than the demo, using p2p, which is 20x slower than say fileplanet or filefront?! :confused2:
Not everyone makes demos, and sometimes the demos can be decieving. Like people saying "oh the demo is super alpha version, the released game is alot better", then u buy it and it turns to poo and u brake ur cats neck and cry in the shower while putting ur finger in ur butt.

Well sure, that does happen occasionally, but for the most part games are what they are in the demos. In the case of the topic, the main game is even more than the demo when you experience the growth of your characters throughout the game, which is a large part of the tactical experience.
Actually the demos generally DON'T suck...( see generally would mean 'most', and most don't suck and do depict the gameplay). SOME do suck, but that doesn't make it 'generally'.
Ach, alright. My point being that I've found my way to work well. If I download a demo, all I got is a silly hour of gameplay of a game that might be average or less. And I don't have enough money to buy other than "the best of the best"-games. So.... if I've got the full version, which I don't consider worth buying, then I've got something to do (on those rainy days, like mentioned earlier). For the good games it works as a "full version demo".
It might not be the best way, but as said: it works well for me.
