Nor should he have. The enemies in question weren't part of a nation or group of peoples, but criminals. That is one thing that I disagree with Bush on. He shouldn't have legitimized the terrorrist's actions by declaring "war on terror". Bad move, mate. They are international criminals. Nothing more.

Hardly. Franklin was a pathetic president, made to look good by circumstances. He did jack for the economy, it was even on it's way back down by the time that WW2 rolled around (yes, the same WW2 that was the real end to the depression). Theodore was a president with balls enough for the whole country. The last president to put his children into public education (If it's good enough for their children, it's good enough for my children), probably the last president to see combat up close and personal, lived in the day before the Secret Service, was able to speak his own mind, etc etc. Franklin was a fucking cheerleader. Literally.

That was John Kennedy, same with Edward "Ted" Kennedy. Carter had Amy, I think he had some other kids, but all I ever hear about is Amy.
