In all honesty the 70s was the greatest decade ever. Watergate, Vietnam, Led Zeppelin, progressive rock, cheesy porn, and a higher quality of drugs. I'm set.

The 80's was pretty cool too... all the best movies were made in the 80's. And why do you say the quality of drugs was higher in the 70's? If anything, they were all less potent, on average.

Remember Y2K? God, I want to shoot whoever made that bullshit up. Remember how the media aired it constantly? They tried to constantly scare you into thinking that the end is coming. I want to shoot those damn talking heads at ABC/NBC/CBS. That single event pissed me off royally.

People weren't as annoying in these days. No goths to bitch about their suicidal tendancies and that whole pool of assholes. You had to bitch about the real thing, Vietnam, and fear USSR.
