Hm... I remember Hammer saying these two things:

1) only a monkey with an IQ of a boot couldn't reload Garand without emptying the whole magazine first.

2) only a monkey with an IQ of a boot calls magazine a 'clip'.

Well, some people call these clips. I did not mean Doc Hill particularily, he just reminded me of those people. And apparently you can reload Garand before going boom x 8. I think Hammer wrote about that some time ago. I could be wrong, though. I often am.

I've always got a boner from the SVT-40, Soviet auto rifle.
It's just so sweet.

Haha, Kash used airsoft magazines.

Doc is correct though, it is a clip in the Garand. Clips simply hold the bullets while a magazine holds and feeds them into the weapon.

The SVT40 is a sweet weapon its only disadvantage was that it used the old 7.62x54r cartridge. The wide rim on the cartridges tended to cause double feeds. During the great patriotic war many soviet soldiers wanted their old Mosin Nagants back. But a minor revision to the magazine reduced the double feeds to near zero. The 7.62x54r with a 190 grain slug is a hammer.

Another aweet semi auto (wish I had one) is the Swedish AG-42 Ljungman rifle chambered for the great 6.5x55mm round in some ways it was superior to the Garand (am I going to get flamed for that statment?).

Of course a weapon that I will never have because it can't be imported
into the USA (thanks bill) @$#%#@@#%$%$# is this

How many times does it take for someone to call someone else a Hitler and having it stop meaning anything. Bush is not Hitler, Bush is nothing like Hitler. There are much eviler people on the planet, such as Saddam. Everyone needs to stop calling Bush Hitler because it's bullshit and it doesn't even mean anything anymore. Hitler has become a blanket term for anyone on the Right.
