It's a spazmo-joke no one can understand, but he makes people feel such a way that they have to laugh even if they don't understand it.

I think it's because I said I didn't like the Clash? Which is, like, the 8th deadly sin or something, so that makes me....a poseur? Like Avril? Or maybe it's because Spazmo is Canadian, and like all Canadians, he thinks calling someone "Avril" is the ultimate insult. I don't know.

Hey, if you want to be compared to the little punk princess, more power to ya, but it'd offend my rigid sense of internet honour to the point of seppuku, sir!
And yeah, you do suck for not liking the Clash, but not so much just for disliking the Clash--that's your right. But saying that you like punk but then slam the Clash... that's unfuckingpossible.

I thought it was because of your (previous) avatar.

I never said I liked punk. And I got that avatar because Spazmo begged Teatime to give it to me. So....still no explanation for the nickname. It all lies within Spazmo's twisted, Monkey Island-addled brain.

Writing of ever elusive meaning, is there any greater purpose to your current avatar, Darryl ? It's rather . . . unusual.

It's from Junior Senior's "Move Your Feet" video, offically the greatest music video ever made.
Clicky.

I thought it was familiar. Quite disturbing out of context like that. Poor toast. They make me sad. So sad.

I've got myself The Arcade Fire's Funeral album and it's really surprisingly good.
I also got Rufus Wainwright's second album Poses, which is, IMO, better then Want One and Two.

Also got The Dears - No Cities Left, which is awesome.

I just got Air's Moon Safari. It's very chillout-y, which I normally don't go for, but the music is actually really good. And it's got "Sexy Boy", a song I relate to on multiple levels.

Sexy Boy the only song in the entire album that I can't stand. It's pissing annoying if you ask me, that
stupid robotic voice just completely repulses me, and it doesn't very well sit with the album.
Old CD, but yeah, it's pretty great.

k, since this is partly the music thread I figured I'd enquire if anyone around here listens to The Flaming Lips. If not, you should.
try fight test, a spoonful weighs a ton, yoshimi battles the pink robots pt.1 or the spiderbite song.

Flaming lips are great. I have Clouds Taste Metallic, and Yoshimi Battles the pink robots.
I saw them live last year, completely awesome. Loads of flashing lights, balloons, women in furrie costume (no clothes on underneath)... bizarre, but they were all about having fun and enjoying yourself.

Wayne Coyne seems like a hipster doofus. I get enough of that with Franz Ferdinand.

Franz Ferdinand have been exported to Canada? Ugh, I feel for you. Generic, average drudge. Though there's not much better in the UK music scene, unless you go looking for bands that are rarely played on the radio.
