1) Yea fallout had targeted shots but it was just a choice of head eyes, body, groin, left/right arm and left/right leg. I want the targeting to be more specific as to what your aiming at. So instead of just leg or body for example you can specify the femoral artery in the leg or maybe the liver in the body. This ability can be tied to the doctor skill giving more reason for it to be increased earlier on (and perhaps making it more useful?).

Versus a crossbow bolt? Just the velocity of the bullet alone will make it far more accurate than the bolt. The density of the bullet will help it a great deal as well when it's cutting through the air - versus a bolt, which has an uneven weight distribution over a thin, cylindrical body. Actually xbow is right, zip guns/pipe-rifles are made from piping (like you said) and are smooth bored (that is they lack the spiral-like groove on the inside of the barrel that rifles have). You argue that muskets manage to retain accuracy, but that is a moot point. Muskets fire balls (a sphere being balanced), not modern rounds. A bullet like those used in modern guns is shaped very differently, and when fired from a smooth bore weapon will not retain any balance.

Tell you what, let's stand 150 meters from each other: you with a pipe rifle, me with a crossbow, and we'll see who dies first.
