I'm about 700xp away from level 8 in Rome Blue. I've been pretty much going it alone - aside from last night - leveling up my character and harrassing random passerby with the various dance and the moon animation.
While not a hardcore roleplaying guy, I enjoy that kind of stuff in moderation. A definite indication that these people don't enjoy roleplaying is that there is a massive night club room attached to the general store, fully stocked with alcohol - and no one is ever in there.

Got level 9 in noob island and it's pain in the ass to get any more. It seems that it's impossible to level up past 10 (ten is still possible, there's one respawning creature that you get full xp for killing it at level 9 - only need to kill it six more times to level up) in the noob island, because of the lack of enemies. But still the Vendor at the top of the 'fortress' is selling lvl-14 restricted stuff? Weird.

What was that link to the guy who got severely pwned in an MMORPG you had, Nicolai? The guy who got caught cybering. I couldn't stop laughing.

He's Rhombus. His breed is Atrox and he's an Enforcer by profession. He's at TitleLevel2, Worker, and at xp Level 41. He's gimped as hell, but like I care, I'm not powerplaying. I took this screenie just before I quit tonight... got really frustrated. Had fun time with some chaps, almost leveled up and then this stupid bunch comes along, wakes up the big bad boss, scrams and leaves us with him. Soo... got wasted and lost a good night's xp. Bleh. Makes me wanna quit, but it's addicting.
It's been around from Dec 15, I think. A couple of weeks old? And it's up 'till Jan 15 that's what I know for sure.
The gameplay isn't so great. Nor are the graphics. The sounds and the music - ack - awful. But it's an ok way to waste time with your friends. You don't do this kind of shit on your one, all alone, solo style... It's an alternative for playing football in the snow 'till your toes freeze

You level up really fast in that game. A couple of hours with a good team in a good spot = 5 level ups. So basically if all my playing had been efficient leveling up, 41st level would've been reached after approx. 16h 15 mins... Which isn't that bad. Gathering teams, running to shops etc. takes time though.
I don't think I'm ever going to start a new char though. The beginning is so awkward it made me sick... It's pure shit, in it's dirtiest form.

220? I don't know, that's the highest I've seen so far. But if you buy the shadow lands expansion (damn capitalists) you get some weird "shadow levels", which might have a high cap as well. These old veteran guys that run around sometimes have like "Level 220, Shadow Level 14" and stuff. And they turn into cybernetic dragons at will to fly into some far away lands and shit. It's really weird.
Yah.
Player controlled cities are cool though. But people still don't stay in the bars to chat with each other and have a few drinks... nor does anyone decorate their apartments. They just stand at some high-density traffic spot all day, showing off their high level equipment and jerking off their internet-penis. But they fight wars and shit. And they got "guard dogs", some mutated 50 ft tall monsters. Fun.

I snagged a BO-18 assault rifle on noob island - since I haven't found one better, I've been dumping my money into apartment furnishings and other non-combat crap.Kashluk wrote:Yah.

I'm only level 22 (started a new character), but that's mainly because I try to be social and roleplay a little.
