Ah well. It's ordered, and on the way and all...
I'll just have to wait and see.

Wipeout on the PSX was great fun, never tried the PS2 version though.
Beat 'em ups can be popular with the missus, as she gets a chance to pound you to pulp and humiliate you with her ninja moves in the two player matches, and no one will feel bored or left out.

I would play fighters with my girlfriend (well, whenever I bag another one) but sometimes it's bad. On more then one occassion, at a game I'm GOOD at, a girlfriend will just mop the floor with me. It's not the fact that she beat me, but rather she accomplished it by hitting the SAME BUTTON OVER AND OVER AGAIN. This is why Tekken is no longer allowed to be played at my house.

Newbies and/or inept twits tend to have one thing in common : unpredictability. Someone who knows the form of the game, the procedures, the tactics, will tend to stick with whatever makes them comfortable and lends a reasonable chance of success. A button masher has (at least at first) no such succor. In the case of electronic entertainment, game balance (if any) can also be a factor.

Listen to Pompous Ass. He knows what he's talking about. Believe me. He's such a good friend!

Exactly the reason I've avoided Tekken... =/

Nothing will please her more than beating on you. It's worth the moments of humiliation in game for peace in the real world. Plus, it really is great fun for multiplayer.

San Andreas looked like a Tamagochi at first, with the strength, clothing, feeding and so on, but it's getting a lot better. Cool game.
Got Time crisis 2 and two guns. Gotta love akimbo style =) !!!
Soul Calibur 2 is a bit hard...
Seeing as how I'm used to a keyboard in fighting games, and not a joypad.
Got myself Burnout 3, and I gotta admit..
Chrashing is fucking cool. I can sit back and watch replays a whole day!
DOA 2 sucks. Plain and simple...
FFX seems really nice. FFX 2 seems like something made for girls only...
Altogether I'm pretty glad for my PSTWO =D
didn't get my girlfriend addicted yet, though...
I'll have to wait for next month to look for a game for her.
Keep the advice comming ppl.

Bought GT4 yesterday, didn't get to play much more than the license test...
Graphics are stunning tho', I didn't know the good ol' PS2 could handle such things!

Sooo....
Being first time to GT, and since I have no steering wheel, it's hard imo!!
Has anyone else tried it?
