It is certainly inane to demand any form of censorship and also enforce restrictive sales technique, Ashmo. However, as many retailers (and therefore a significant market share) wish to preserve a 'family friendly' atmosphere, 'tis a sad yet true that for the most part, so called inappropriate software simply isn't stocked without 'improvements'. If this were not so, you'd be able to appreciate the joy of the colour red without resorting to less direct methods, and I'd be able to support the GTA series as it was meant to be, for example. A failing of the system perhaps, hooray for the relative freedom of global post and the Internet, aye ? Aye.

When you get into the wide open countryside and have to drive all the way across the state for a mission, the sheer size of the game is stunning. That said, it is a HUGE PAIN IN THE ASS that there aren't more save points. I can tell it is going to shit me really, really hard when I have to drive fifty miles after each mission to save.
Of course, save points are unacceptable in a PC game in the first place, but what can you do, eh?
Note that you can buy houses out in the open, and in the cities, which give you more places to save.
It's pretty fucked up though, because they're way too expensive, and I don't see any point in having any of them, since they don't "do" anything.
I haven't made it to the third part yet.. I thought my breath-meter went up, but it didn't. At all. shitty piece of crap...
A lot are expensive but it tends to only be the houses and not some old vacant places like hotels, casinos, etc. They dont do much but you can change your cloths and stuff
You have to go under water just until your about to loose all your breath then come up for air. You dont have to go down far just a few feet, and you have to do it alot.

Houses are like 35,000 $ and hotel rooms 6,000 $. both are fairly cheap.

Bought it the day it came out, put about 15 hours in it, and I just started fighting for territory and dating that gansta girl. The game crashed on me once. The performance is definitely too slow for the amount of detail that you get - I'd be content with what Vice City had, plus high-res texture sizes and character models.

MORE THOUGHTS! Having an in-game map and the ability to set destinations is good, but being able to set multiple waypoints would be much, much better.

Um... I was playing this game, yo yo, and in this mission "Green Sabre" I suddenly lose all my hood? Do I get it back at some point, do I have to fight to get it back or is it lost for good?
Awnsers would be appriciated, homies. Bling-bling

You lose it forever.
Toward the end of the game you will be able to war for the hoods again, though. But all your previous conquests will be lost.

Shite. Worked hard for those turfs!
I hate when games do that. I mean, strip all your shit down just because it's "part of the plot"...
Fuck man, it's so over-done. Blah.
Do I get to keep my properties? The ones I've bought already? how about my money?
Posted: Mon Jul 18, 2005 9:09 pm
by ApTyp
You keep the money. That's actually the only reason to war for the hoods early on - to tax them (and the only reason for that is to buy guns and raise your skills by practicing on cars in parking lots).
The properties - I don't remember, but I think you keep 'em.

I hated how the game took a completely different turn at this point, and toward the end it shoots you back to only turf wars.

Yeah, I didn't like that much either.
But I thought it made the story somewhat richer: you get to the "top" (as high as a congoid gangster can, anyway), then lose everything, and finally climb back up, and higher.
