Favorite canceled games
I enjoyed the melee combat very much, reminded me a lot of Jedi Academy's (excellent) lightsaber combat. Damn, that was a good game. I'll probably reinstall it soon.VasikkA wrote:Excuse me? The game uses Source engine, specially designed for FPSs, and yet you practically cannot walk and shoot at the same time? Very great indeed.Spazmo wrote:Bloodlines combat was great.

Wasn't Jagged Alliance 3 cancelled at least once? Now they're developing some 3d version of it. I'm not impressed. I hope it's at least turn-based.
Also, if you're a Close Combat fan, there's a new installment in development called the Red Phoenix. Too bad it's multi-platform and focused on modern warfare(US vs commies). To be honest, it smells like good ol' license rape.

JA3D != JA3, although they'll probably use the same engine.VasikkA wrote:Wasn't Jagged Alliance 3 cancelled at least once? Now they're developing some 3d version of it. I'm not impressed. I hope it's at least turn-based.

CC: A Bridge Too Far was absolutely awesome, and in multiplayer it was trhilling. But I never got to play the third an fourth instalments, are they any good? What's your favorite?VasikkA wrote:Also, if you're a Close Combat fan, there's a new installment in development called the Red Phoenix. Gameplaywise, they're all equally awesome. The strategic map in later CCs 4(battle of the bulge) and 5(Normandy) kinda sucked, the battles were concentrated only on a few maps. The enemy AI wasn't great either, especially when you were defending. However, map design, sounds and graphic effects are better in the later installments. Also, some of the mods are very well done. In conclusion: the best RTS's ever, try them out if you haven't already.S4ur0n27 wrote:CC: A Bridge Too Far was absolutely awesome, and in multiplayer it was trhilling. Arcanum... for the combat, if there was a lot of it I would feed everyoneSpazmo wrote:Arcanum had bad combat, but ToEE and Bloodlines combat was great.
And Troika shut down months ago because they couldn't get anyone to publish a game for them.
a speed potion and switch to turn-based. This made movement through an area very annoying because I'd be cycling through combat turns during
regular movement (forced combat mode). This sploit made the speed last long enough to clear out an entire area. This to me was less tedious than actually trying to play the game right, because of the odd combat.
Did anybody use the "Drugnologist" sploit?
