I just watched Lord of War and that had a good ending. Though there were certain parts of it that was perhaps a bit heavy-handed or whatever, I liked it.

I really wasn't impressed with Lord of War. I can certainly agree with it being heavy handed. Like Neil Peart heavy handed. The ATF agent (can't remember the actor's name) was essentially the voice of the director, drilling into the audience's head the things that LOLOLOLOL! we were obviously too dumb to pick up from the rest of the film.

Eh, not really. Perhaps spoilers if you haven't seen it. I didn't really think of it as an anti-gun film, and even as an anti-war film it wasn't really about that. Just more the moral standpoint of an arms dealer. I think the text at the end could have been dropped, but I'm not going to dislike a film for 10 seconds of something just before the credits. It was like Blow, but better as a whole.

The atf guy wasn't even really right or wrong at the end, that was just what he thought and it didn't make a difference. Life just goes on. I don't really have much an opinion on guns or war anyway, so I didn't think of it as fahrenheit 9/11 with people getting shot.

I thought it was a good movie? I enjoyed it and thought it was well written and even if the corny end of the movie text was like some sort of wake up call that was kinda counter to what the movie actually said (After all, he sold guns in places where american never even visited), as megatron said, you shouldn't let it get in the way of the movie.

Yeah, but it came back to being awesome when it ended with a shot of Charles Bronson winking at the camera.

Pulp Fiction's ending almost made sitting through the whole thing worthwhile. Almost.
