Actually it's been years since I've seen it but it seemed kind of like M. Night Shamashasalan + LOTR in that it esentially ended but then spent another ten or fifteen minutes explaining what you had just seen in case you didn't get it. Aside from that it's completely fucking balls, Terry Gilliam is the shit.

the book of course, the movie was horrible.. as they usually are.

I thought it was fairly good, although I only saw the dub. The raw french version may have been better. It's got a pretty good blade runner feel to it and while the twist is abit predictable, it's still quite good.
