It's legal to make any kind of alcohol in most states as long as you don't distill it. I'm not sure which states homebrewing isn't legal in but I know that you can in Ohio, Michigan and Pennsylvania. Oh and it's also illegal to sell without a license but some people manage to get by that by selling the cork of the wine bottle or the cap of a beer bottle and having the alcohol being just a "present". Not sure if that is a real loophole or not but everyone I know who's done it hasn't gotten in any trouble. Yet.

from now on , pasteurise it instead of boiling it, it seems to work better.

you people are thinking of moonshine, and yes, even that is legal to make in certain quantities in most states, but you would have to look that one up.

Did you run it through a handkerchief first?

Or drink it straight?

Nasty shit if it's the usual business.

Maybe run it through a Grey Kangaroo a few times...

exactly, there are MANY types of shine, lots of kinds that can kill you or blind you, or make you sick for the rest of your life... but, there is
quality shine out there to, good stuff, with many different flavors and smells, but always be careful
you may end up with some bad shit that when through a car radiator or has lead in it or any thousand different types of poisons in it.. kinda like Russian roulette.

I'm not sure how to pasturize. I'll have to look that one up. The one time I had Shine, it didn't even have any taste so it was pretty pure I think.

Try San Miguel if you can find it. It's a Filipino beer and the alcohol content varies from batch to batch. One batch could be so light that you can drink a whole case and not feel anything and then the next batch so powerful that one beer can be enough to give you a buzz. It's like gambling with beer. Just get the Pale Pilsen, the other types suck.

Like I said: "I had moonshine once. Tasted like rum." Meaning that the moonshine I had tasted like rum. Which is not to say that all moonshine tastes like rum...just the particular moonshine I had.

Which tasted like rum.

The kind I had, I mean.

Straight from the Mason jar. My dad's wife's cousin from Texas brewed it up, and apparently he knows what he's doing. It was suprisingly smooth, not sure what the proof would be but it didn't feel much higher than 80-90.

Yeah it is kind of hard to find. The only place I've seen it here is in a Filipino restaurant in Detroit but I've heard that it can be found in some specialty beer stores. I usually just have my mother-in-law bring me back a case whenever she goes to the Philippines. Its a lot easier to find when you live in an area with a lot of Filipinos.

hey Subby, if high-percent alcohol feels smooth, it might be methanol (tastes and smells smoother than ethanol) so if you care for your eyesight don't trust your dad's wife's relatives that much ;)
