It'll probably be shit though. If Fallout 3 is amazing, I'll play it and try and find every little detail I can. If it's just another game I'll play it once and once in a blue moon (like I do with Tactics). If it's shit, I'll probably lose interest in it half way through.Smiley wrote:I bet if Fo3 was actually a good game with some nice canon twist and got wildly popular, half the people here would instantly veer away from the game, because of its popularity, and come up with excuses for the rest.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but F3 uses the same engine as Oblivion, yeah?
So the characters are going to move the same, background will have the same clarity, etc etc etc whatever.
It's the same reason why every game I have played using "The Unreal Engine" looks exactly the same. The enemies might be different, but everything else plays out the same way.
Is F3 better than nothing? Yeah. At the very least, it revives interest in an otherwise dead series. The kind of interest I'd like? No, not really. But I'm at least interested in exploring the wastes of F3 - Recently, I popped in Oblivion and just started running around the countryside looking at stuff. It was actually quite a bit more fun than the main quest IMO - and hopefully Bethesda has put a *LOT* of easter eggs in. That was probably my favorite part was finding the suicidal troll, giant crab, etc.

You do know that you are crittable, right? So in theory, you cannot tank. Seriously, you need to look over some gear of yours, 5/8 T6 is nice but it's not of much good if you're not crit immune. You need -2.6% chance to be critted, which translates to 415 def rating, or less with some resilience. Definately try to replace Furies deck with Bloodboil's trinket and get rid of that Idol. Idol of Terror has been better ever since it came out with 2.3 and it's onlt 15 badges. You should have those sitting in bank from all the raiding.Smiley wrote:As for my armory;

I just joined a new raiding guild recently, we are currently 4/6 SWP with consistent progress on M'uru. That fight is a bitch :E
I just made a Priest recently as well, dinged 70 a couple of days ago and I just grinded the whole night to get my epic flyer, cannot play without it.

I'll let you find some examples yourself.Frater Perdurabo wrote:You do know that you are crittable, right? So in theory, you cannot tank. I really can't be bothered. Few high-guild druids are completely immune.
First off, you don't need to be uncrittable. Neither for trash, nor bosses.
Near uncrittable is just fine.
Second, I have defense trinkets just for bosses.
Thirdly, there's additional defense from flask.
Bloodboil's trinket has dropped once, which went to a warrior who left the guild. RoS neck hasn't dropped yet.
As for idol, Brutality is far better threat generation, I don't like how rarely Idol of Terror procs, which by the way sucks compared to the White Stag one.
Unless of course you mean for the dodge, which is just lol.
Looks good.Anyway, here's mine:

I don't look forwards to sunwell, it's tuned for elitist guilds who can't go without optimal setups for everything.
I honestly can't be bothered with that kind of raiding. I'm hoping WotLK will have less of that, and more variety.
Seriously, screw the guilds who are pining for world first kills, and let's have some more freedom for raid setups. If you can't beat a raid instance drunk, it's not worth it

Pretty much the answer I was expecting to be honestSmiley wrote:I'll let you find some examples yourself.

Well, basically I'll just put it this way, Idol of Terror is WAY better than Idol of Brutality. You can't even compare the two. It has something like a 50% chance to proc, which gives 5.5% dodge for like 10sec (don't underestimate) and more threat generation from pure raw damage than Idol of Brutality, especially since Lacerate was buffed last patch and is no longer useless. The dodge is especially useful with the Sunwell debuff. You just can't do without it.
However, I sort of see your point. I guess that you don't have a lot of expertise on your tanking gear? You should really try to get some, it helps loads of with threat generation. And try to get some hit as well, if you are having aggro problems, the difference is as obvious as black and white. If you don't have decent expertise, you have a high chance of missing those Mangles which means loads of threat loss and very few trinket procs. But to be honest, I even use Idol of Terror for grinding now (since cba Shred grind, takes too long) and it's wonderful. Just give it a try.
Oh and Wild Stag is just lol. It's a joke item. Last time it dropped, I chose to have it disenchanted because I did not want to spend min dkp on that piece of shit.
I can see where you are coming from with the crittability thing so I won't really discuss it because you know the advantages and disadvantages yourself. However, you can be sure that a crit at a bad time will cause a wipe. We had a fire elemental crit one of the tanks on Illidan for 20k and it caused an instant wipe (because even when you are "crit immune", there's still like a 0.05% chance to be critted).
This is a serious, serious misconception. I love Sunwell because of it's difficulty, I think that the fights are perfectly tuned (which I guess does make it an elitist playground because one mistake will wipe the raid), but I disagree with raid stacking. Sure, Shamen are EXTREMELY useful for Sunwell (what people say about M'uru is that you bring 6 healers and all of them can be Shamen) because of the intense raid damage and because Heroism works wonders when achieving DPS checks, but M'uru is a very exceptional fight. Well, we don't know anything about KJ yet, but hey, M'uru world first had 0 Druids and world 2nd had 3 Druids? It does not require raid stacking. The world 2nd guild even said that you could go there with 3 tanks, 6 Shamen and 16 Hunters. We have spent a lot of nights on M'uru and we have tried different tactics, they all work, it's just about making it work for you.Smiley wrote: Looks good.

I'm not gonna discuss this
My tanking is working perfectly, and I have not died to a crit since karazhan.
Hell, I even survived eyebeams back when we started illidan. ;D
Like I said, it's centered around world 1st kills.
We're trying Kalecgos now, and the trash up to is not only repetative, but boring as fuck.. I really don't like sunwell so far.

Laugh on the inside as you have pornographic fantasies about other women.

No, I'm not contradicting. You said that it requires generic raid stacking, I say that it doesn't.Smiley wrote:I'm not gonna discuss this![]()

Anyway, at least be happy that Kalecgos trash is relatively easy :E
Twins trash is half an hour of chainpulling. You literally get 4-5 opportunities to drink, you only live by constant potting and 6min Innervates.
M'uru's is different on the other hand. It's a bitch and will take you ages to master, but it's very short. It's literally only like 6-7 pulls so you're done in no time.
By the way, I got T6 feral chest tonight, 2piece now :>
