Lets just clear up a single little thing. D-I and D-II were games you played when you were what.. 12? 14? You will remember them as grittier. But they werent. Play Diablo today and laugh at the pathetic diablo and his cheery brighty coloured world.

I don't mind either of it. Personally it reminds me of God Of War graphics/colors, which is fine with me.
If they want to make it ultra gritty and dark, also fine.
