Im thinking a week and a half in Vegas then some sight seeing.

Going to take a Chopper ride down the Grand Canyon if possible.
Might produce some serious Vertigo, so watch out. I'm told kayaking in the river at the floor is pretty intense, might consider it if you're feeling ballsy

new york city... the generic tourist things like central park, empire state/chrysler buildings etc. are actually good and should be experienced once, and as walter mentioned the museums & galleries are pretty darn dope (there are also tons of them; in parts of the upper east side there are galleries like every two blocks, in people's houses and shit). if you do go i'd recommend doing stuff outside of manhattan as well, at least coney island or the brooklyn zoo or something. places that aren't in manhattan also have the advantage of not being incredibly expensive too (a shithole hotel in manhattan is like $200 a night)

san francisco is neat :subhuman:

los angeles is kind of shit but there are definitely some interesting bits and it's nice to just drive around and take it all in... actually, you could probably say that of most of california. all the forests on the west coast (prettay much anywhere north of san francisco) are lovely too.

the south seems pretty good (tasty barbecue) but i've only been in the carolinas which are probably not the true blue real deal south.

the midwest is horrible and should be avoided. :chew:

From the airport of New York, what can you do in 9 hours assuming you need to be in the airport one hour before the plane leaves for vegas?

I was thinking of midle landing in new york since I have never been there, maybe go busking in the subway for some extra vegas cash, I play a mean harmonica.

Wow, had I written something like that Manoil would have banned me for sure, yet Yonmac remains? I smell under the table action.

It wasn't necessarily the content, but the mass-repetition; the unending flame/insult wars was the problem.

I really don't have anything against you, Snake. I just don't like seeing DaC covered in endless arguments over who's cock is bigger. An insipid joke at another's expense is one thing, but turning it into something that doesn't deserve the attention is another.

Regardless, a direct attack like that when a good discussion was going along should be moderated.

Try roaming back alleys in older parts of town. Be sure to look like a tourist; New Yorkers are some of the friendliest people in the world and take it upon themselves to show foreigners hospitality.

Thanks for the friendly tip.

While I don't condone what he said, approaching any member for a lone abrasive comment is a bit much, especially for DaC, and especially considering that's how our SDF filtration system works. For now, just ignore it, as you should with virtually all of those, though if it begins a chain that continues for an extended period, it would warrant intervention.

The only thing that'll stop it at this point is NYC zoning laws that can be pretty wacky. Which is a good thing; freedom of religion is protected in the US, and the continent was settled on that principal.

As for the whining douchebags that oppose it - there's currently a mosque closer to "ground zero" than this is going to be. Additionally, that part of New York isn't some sort of sacred American ground; the building this community center is going into is an old Burlington Coat Factory, and the neighborhood is riddled with strip clubs and porn stores.

I agree with Retlaw. Glenn Beck says its "common sense" or i like to call it racism.
