And we've achieved the goal, ladies and gentlemen. $270 raised, so the domain is secure for the next 5 years. Thanks a bunch to all of you who have helped out. You're all of course welcome to still donate since the costs are ongoing.

Believe it or not, the .cx domain will be up for renewal again in March of 2016. Since it's ridiculously overpriced at about $50 per year and DAC is kinda dead, we may need to move it to a non-cx domain to keep it around for a while longer.

Or not! Prove me wrong and waste your money by donating again using the PayPal button in the first post and ensure that DAC's zombie corpse continues to exist on the same .cx domain until at least 2020. We're raising the same sum of $270 again, so please flush your money down the toilet now!

And we're already up to $50.42 out of $270, thanks to Soncho or whatever your username here is. Leave a note with your donation so I can properly credit you!

Well, why don't we move? What's the biggest concern there?

At the risk of sounding like an asshole, I have three propositions:

1) We depart from the .CX domain to make our fight for overhead more plausible. In the transition, we can incorporate some of the elements we've been discussing for upgrading DaC's utility and make it a more viable priority for foot traffic.

2) We plan on welcoming the hordes of Fallout newcombers with the arrival of Fallout 4, as painfully obnoxious as it may be; perhaps even elevate a couple of our core members to ambassadors to gently welcome and guide the fresh meat towards assimilation. God knows, we need the manpower. We've all got our own lives, our own projects, and we'll never be able to keep this home of ours limping on indefinitely if we count solely on our long-term members.

3) Given the need from respite established by #2, we establish a new board in the private forums, only accessible by/visible to a specified custom list of members-- all veterans of DaC-- and only allow new entries by submission of request and review of their behavior. We could have a link on the side panel on the front page for quick navigation, and simultaneously maintain something that allows us to ignore, by and large, the Bethesda fandom while not leaving a layer of dust on everything.

I don't want to see this place die, but the status quo just can't limp on forever. Adaptation is necessary.

With your $10 donation we're at $60 now, so not much else in terms of options right now. The cost with PayPal's ludicrous AUD exchange rate is $57 per year at this point already.

Hello! I'm a well respected poster over at NMA forums and I just thought I would share some thoughts on my future plans for the remaining fallout based communities.

Firstly it has come to my attention that this site is rather inactive compared to NMA forums and I'm keen on the idea of bringing all the communities together so I'd really like it if all you you took some time to register on NMA forums and begin posting !

This is an example of one of the many great discussions I've started over at NMA http://www.nma-fallout.com/showthread.p ... hesda-fans, I have also been working on bringing fallout fans of the older and newer games alike from reddit over to NMA !

Hope to see you soon! bye!

Look here, you cocksucker. You posted this five fucking times and have displayed an astounding ignorance of the history between DAC and NMA. Unless this is an epic troll, then I salute you.

Do this again without it being hilarious, and you're banned.
