well i've already tried luck 10 and it almost didn't change nothing. battles were as always. random encounters were as always. quests were as always. every damn thing was the same. as always. maybe luck 1 will actually effect the game somehow.

Luck only affects critical hits, gambling and certain special encounters. At luck 10 I suggest you specialize in critical hits and choose the correct perks(better criticals, more criticals, sniper).

There are a FEW luck tests. The only one offhand I can remember is the 8ball, and that's hardly very useful.

I also think you need a high luck to be able to pass the vault city citenzenship test.

So... how are you progressing, EG?
Haven't actually tried that character yet. Still working out an "evil" poser which, honestly, I haven't re-tried in a couple of weeks. A variety of Life's unusual events, coupled with personal responsibilities, have kept me from my favorite RPG. Sorry.

"It covers nothing at all, a little bit of some things and everything. All at once. Luck affects many things in tiny amounts."

It could be a bit more vague, but not much. Outside of critical hits, special encounters, gambling, citizenship tests, etc., I think Luck affects a lot of things we might not be aware of. I would have to assume that, to a certain degree, it is added to (or subtracted from) the calculated determination of critical successes and failures of all kinds of tasks.

Luck has close to no effect for random encounters in FO2.

Huzzah. hard Drive melted. No more quest walkthrough in progress to send.

You may now continue spamming....

edit: whatever the date today is...something like 22nd of April.

Anywho, I'll take this off sticky soon if no-one else has anything to contribute, as it's seems to have gone the way of the do-do to me.
