People who don't listen to Sammy are downright silly.

I think the more important questions to be asking are ...

1) Can interplay survive Van Buren's dev cycle ?
2) Jeffy's?
3) How powerful, really, is Jefferson's engine?
4) Where's Feargus headed?
5) Who's following?
6) Will any of us care by the time ToEE, HL2, STALKER, and the rest are already released or well out the door?

Very good questions.

1) I hope so.
2) Can't comment on that one.
3) Powerful enough, from what I know.
4) I'd like to know as well. This was posted on the IPLY boards today (as I was told):
I spoke with him for a couple of minutes at the show and he seems much happier now that he's left BI - no surprise, running BI carries a lot of pressure. He said he's on to new challenges now, he may be starting his own company or just shopping around his services.
5) I know of one other person (a producer) who has recently left BIS, although I don't know if his departure is connected to Feargus. And no, it wasn't the Jefferson producer.
6) I will. ToEE will be an OK game, but I don't expect too much from it. I don't care about HL2, since I don't play FPS games (not even really good ones.

Me too.

Now is this because of the licensing issues or just hang ups with development? As JE would say, MYSTERY!
3) Powerful enough, from what I know.
Powerful in a NWN kind of way? I know Feargus said something about it breaking 100K polys. And that it rendered some fallout levels quite nicely. I'm not so sure though.

I saw this as well, though it doesn't really tell us much. Of course he's happier. Who wouldn't be? He really should have left BIS much sooner.

Wasn't Parker was it?

I expect more from ToEE than I do Jefferson. And aside from the two FPS's I mentioned I've also got Phoenix to look forward to who's engine I know is more than just "powerful enough."

Nope, it wasn't Parker (who was Jefferson's producer at the time Josh posted names of the Team Jefferson members).

Based on my (admittedly limited) knowledge of ToEE, and the more extensive knowledge of Jefferson I have, I'd choose Jefferson over ToEE any day. Less combat. More non-linearity. More depth. Not a recycled storyline.

I am sure I'll enjoy ToEE though, if for the true 3(.5)E turn-based combat alone.
