I believe you need to brush up on your history. Just because people voted him into power, doesn't mean they liked him. If you knew anything about Germany during that time, you might recall there were numerous assasination attempts on Hitler, even by his own high council. It got to the point where he felt that anyone who disagreed with him would be executed, including Erwin Rommel who was forced to commit suicide simply because he didn't agree with Hitlers planning stradegy. So indeed, the German people tried to make a differance. Concluding with that point, know your history before you shoot your mouth.

Next, the reason WHY Hitler was so popular was because he spoke towards the patriatism of Germany. Germany was basically treated like trash after the Treaty of Versailles. But ANYONE could have done that and built Germany up for a differant goal, it's called political agenda. However, saying talking about Hitler before he was in power and Hitler afterwards are two differant things.

Germany didn't "Need" Hitler. Agreed, they needed someone to revitalize their economy, but Hitler was the wrong person. Hitler simply turned Germany from poor, into a super power, into an even poorer country that basically depended on the allies to rebuild. You were even more so screwed if you lived in East Germany because your communist friends/system basically destroyed the economy there almost completely. So, basically what I'm trying to say is, you're a moron if you think Germany "needed" Hitler.

Whoopdy Doo on the second note. When I start caring, I'll let you know. I don't see how this bears any merit towards the argument besides just saying "Oh yea, it's illegal in Canada to do this". Next time you try to make a point, say what that point is instead of just saying evidence which no one cares about to begin with.

Finally, hooray for Canada.....hows that exactly a good thing and more importantly, why should we care about it.

germany needed someone strong like hitler wolfman. a democracy wouldnt of pulled germany's perverbial ass out of the fire. when you have to have wheelbarrels full of money to get a loaf of bread something needs to be done. stuff cant instantly be done in a democracy as it can be with a fascist/tyrannical government.
so germany needed hitler or someone like him to become what it has.
and war reperations affected all the losing parties not just germany so saying it was put into bigger problems then before is wrong.

and i know absolutely shit about US law because each state has its own and shit so how am i supposed to know about all the different and retarded rules revolving around gun control. i live in canada where we worry about health care and schools not gun control.

oh and regarding catholics in general, every catholic i know is a useless welfare slut who do stuff that it against the law then repent. then after they finish they go and do it again. catholics=useless sacks of leeching shit

Ok Mandalorian, you have some issues there, but first, we don't have a prime minister here in the states. Doesn't matter if there is a war, unless it's really serious, like a nuclear war where everything gets microwaved, or if we are fighting to the death on our homefront, then the president still has to run for reelections. Second, Mandalorian isn't me. He's a commie, I am not. Third, Hitler went to war for on major reason, to use war as a diversion for what he wanted more, the extermination of the Jews. Fourth, we care for public education, thats why its free if you can't afford it. As for health care, yes we need free health care, but at the same time, we don't. Why? Becuase, if Americans (example) get sick, they just take some over-the-counter medicine. Canadians (example) go to the clinic or hospital everytime they get sick, or so the polls say. So in the end, yes we could use free healthcare, but then hospitals and clinics will be much crowded then they are now, which means longer waiting hours becuase a hobo says he gots an itch.

Germany needed a charasmatic leader, not a tyrant. As for a democracy not being able to pull of things, I beg to differ, but then again my opinion is probably biased since I'm pro-democracy, right? You might also wanna note that they had 17 years to get it done, so it's not like they only had a year to rebuild the economy. As for saying it was put into bigger problems afterwards is wrong, maybe you should analyze things further. During WWI, the countries were still able to survive on their economy. After WWII, Germany had to be rebuilt from the ground up, because there WAS no economy. It was worse for a number of reasons, even when compared to Italy or Japan after WWII. Your communist pals who controlled East Germany only made it harder.

Hooray for you living in Canada though. I'm sure its a nice place. We worry about Health Care and Schools too. We just have more in our lives then sick people and school children =/. but in the begining and before the war i dont think
there were many assassiantion attempts on his life

i know about the bomb and the people involved etc

as i mentioned somewhere in these forums,ww2 is a big interest of mine,i actually think i know more about it than u cowboy dood,unless u r like a histroy professor or sumthin

and yea of course they didnt need hitler (look at the results)

they needed good leadership, but they loved hitler

just like america needs good leadership to fix the economy,but america loves(used to at least) dubya

maybe there should be a intelligence test or sumthin for those who wanna vote

Isn't it allitle hypocritical that you use everyone elses "Whining" about freedoms as an excuse to whine about them...yet you've said multiple times you are against those freedoms and whining. Good for you, thumbs up, it's always good to have hobbies, and thats as good of a hobby as any. However, I believe that all this was Opinions backed up with fact, so it wouldn't require a <b>history professor</b> (or something) to be able to do so. Although I do find it somewhat funny that just because its a hobby of yours that you claim to be on the level of a history professor. Especially since you know next to nothing about my hobbies or education level. Although, yea, I am not a history professor, I have first hand experience in living in Germany before the wall fell and being to east Germany as well as having friends and relatives who lived in pre-WWII. As such, I also got alot of German history programs, history books, as well as american history books and such. So sure, it's something of a hobby of mine to know something about a interesting point inwhich my two of my families cultures. But even so, I believe this is the internet, where knowledge is meangless considering I basically have the worlds biggest historical text book at my fingertips and unlimited time to answer the question, as well as people who do things such as studying german history for a living to ask. I believe that puts on equal playing ground.
