3d fighting games vs 2d fighting games

O gad that would be orgasmic... we NEED LAST BLADE 3. Well they made a couple new Metal Slug's right? 3 and 4... although they're a different company and kinda suck compared to the originals, it's better than nothing. And Last Blade was at least moderately popular or the second one never would have made it to the US. So... GIVE US 3.

It was rumored about Last Blade 3 but I dont think so, since the Neo-Geo is finally dieing with SNK vs Capcom being the beginning of the last fleet of games most likely. The crystals machine that one of SNKs supporters made was an uber 2d machine but only got a couple of games on it, the fans thought they were going to move to that but they didn't and it died. Neo-geo with it's aging hardware is still in a lot of arcades and places and instead of replacing the machines in a dieing arcade market, they just make more and more games for it. I haven't been in the Neo-Geo loop for a couple of years but I think it's almost solid that Samurai Showdown 5 and Metal Slug 5 will be made. Playmore/SNK are prolly going to take a more agressive stance on consoles soon.

Yeah, I don't expect it for Neo Geo itself, I didn't think they would actually keep making games for it?
I was under the impression that SNK pretty much did die, around the NGPocket time, but are making a comeback, with the new Metal Slug's and SNK v Capcom and all that.

SNK Died like 2 years ago when its president died or something like that. Most of the stuff was bought up by other companies (Like capcom) and such. However, this year, SNK was refounded under like the companies president's wife and former managers and such so SNK is indeed back with new funding and such. Infact, their first batch of games is being released.

They should make a sequel to Guerilla War. The joystick was fucked up but I liked it.

Did anyone ever play the game Irritating Maze? I've got the rom but I can't play it... since it supposedly used a somewhat bizzare controller. Like, the game was all about rolling this ball through a maze with this wierd trackball... that would give you electric shocks if you hit the walls. The regular controls in the emulator don't work, but I still like running it every once in a while to see the "caution if you're pregnant or have heart trouble" warning in the beginning.

Playmore bought them up when they went bankrupt, they made the games like Metal Slug 4 and KOF 2001 and 2. After awhile of using playmore name they started to use SNK, so the real SNK is dead. No propterties i know of have been sold to capcom, only that some of the SNK developers moved to capcom after SNK died. SNKs demise is pretty much due to the failure of the Neo Geo pocket and the dieing Arcade industry. Pretty much all there games now are just rehashes of the old SNK games. Also, playmore is a big pinchu(japanese gambling thing, sp?) company so all of SNKs characters are on the front of them and shit, to milk the characters recoginition.
