Oh man I'm so sad I watched so many Portal videos. Feels like the game is ruined in the same way you'd ruin a quest by reading about it on a wiki. Sucks.
Must have been a pretty cool experience the first time people played it early before all the articles, videos and the cake meme.

i liked the first 2 games but never got around to the third. i havent had chance to play it past the first level yet though so maybe things get too hot 2 hand null. maybe ill get alan wake if it comes live atcha PC steam etc
I still have to play Max payne games, I got them off of steam for cheap.
Right now I'm pretty much playing Alpha Protocal and its definitely a bit rough around the edges but I'm enjoying it so far even though I haven't been playing much lately. After I finish AP I was going to replay dues ex but I might end up playing Crysis since I got a new computer last month.

I also didn't quite manage Bioshock. Bar the impressive intro and the Fo 1 song playing in the toilets, I couldn't really be bothered. Then I found out it was basically a watered down System Shock 2 and just uninstalled it.
And DA:O I thought was just annoying. Some interesting characters (the Antonio Banderas-elf for one) but still the same faux choices, now with the Mass Effect reality show-type affair.
Playing Mount & Blade. Kinda like Pirates gold! in dry land. Nice horseback charges for one.
Mount & Blade, Fallout and Planescape: Torment are the three games which I have always installed on my computer(s). You can return to them anytime when the cruel world kicks you in the head and disappoints you with the modern pieces of gaming.
I just reinstalled Neverwinter Nights because for the life of me couldn't remember how that game went (maybe that was a bad sign.) But I remember when I bought it some guys were comparing it to Baldur's Gate. I must've stopped playing because of how thoroughly disappointed I was. I just watched the beginning cinematic thing and it kind of sucked (I usually skip those things.) And now this person wants my level 3 rogue to find these monsters and I don't want to.
