Manhunt NewYork
Released: 1988
Manhunter was made by the creaters of "The Ancient Art of War" and "The Ancient Art of War at Sea". This game strays far from the style of most AGI games, with a different interface and different style of play. Instead of being third-person, this game presents a first-person view. It is quite different, but for those who got into it, they really found it to be enjoyable.
Plot: In 2002, the Orbs invaded. By 2004, they have nearly terraformed the planet Earth to fit their needs. However, the human element still exists, and they cannot completely track them themselves. So, they require certain humans to become Manhunters, traitors to their kind. These Manhunters are to track the actions of other humans, and report back to the orbs. You are one of the many nameless Manhunters. With more assests at your disposal, you have the choice to either help the orbs, and betray your people, or betray the orbs, and become one of the freedom fighters who wish to purge the Earth of orbs, and save mankind. What will you do?
Availability: Unfortunately, this title is not available at retail and it hasn't been since the early 1990's. It's possible you may find it in a bargain bin at a software store. I still find this title occasionally. You may also try the Abandonware Webring. I don't condone pirated games, but if Sierra doesn't want us to pirate games, they should make them available.
