I believe it was the holy Saint Proverbius made a comment about this a long time ago. We do not want a new fallout. We do not want a new post apocalyptic RPG. We want a GOOD RPG, a QUALITY RPG, an RPG worth spending fifty fucking dollars on. It just so happens that Fallout was one such game. I don't care if it's set in a magical cave with dancing fairy elves spinning circles around my character, as long as there is a fucking reason for it and the rest of the game makes it well worth the eyesore.vendetta wrote:You guys just want more of the same thing, conservative folks. The problem is that it is very unlikely you'll find some more of the same stuff later on. Better get used to that short list of classic RPGs.
good rpg

Seconded. Ultima was a great series. Nifty 2D isometric pseudo-turned-based. Starting going downhill in U8 with only 1 party member and real-time combat, and went to hell in U9 with a first-person, real-time combat fantasy shooter design. Bethesda take note, this was pretty much exactly the same situation you're in now (taking a beloved iso game and turning it into a 3D FPS). Now the Ultima franchise/brand is dead as a doornail.VasikkA wrote:Ultima 7 + Exult if you already haven't played the CRPG behemoth.
