I'm a fan of the following quote;Haris wrote:And yea i cant stand all new mmos eather. If you kill another players and you are no allowed to loot his entire gear than in my opinion its not an mmorpg.
Welcome to EVE. If you aren't busy finding some way to injure or at least mildly inconvenience another player, you have a lot of catching up to do. -Lygos

Ahhh UO those were the days man. No MMO i know of had that type of freedom, however im no expert.
Im a history buff. Nothing has ever had my heart POUND like the first kill online in IL-2 Sturmovik 1946. That was after more hours than id care to admit getting shot down by aces.
Think about it, the men flew "flying machine guns". No radar, no flybywire, no guided anything. Pure Awesome.

damn it Entertainer... you fail..
Anyways... im downloading Fonline and giving that a try.
then later giving stalker call of pripyat a try.
They both look really fun.
Im also downloading fallen earth.. ill give that a try too. LOL
regardless what was said about (actually not enough imormation was given regarding the details of gameplay, so ill download and try myself.)
After about 1 hour and 30 minutes.... of doing nothing but wandering and talking to npcs i remember talking to 20 times before in the original game, and then finally finding 2 wanderers who were friendly and asking for my shovel. I refused to give them my shovel, so one of them offers some stimpaks. I still refuse, saying that i need my shovel to shovel shit.
1 min later i started my search in the hub for an old man who was no longer willing to shovel a couple tons of brahmin mannure, so i can make a couple dozen of caps for the sake of making money. I spent about 30 minutes looking for this theoretical old man to leech.
About 40 min later, partly wanking it to the desert scenery and partly wailing for help. That was for a few seconds though. I decided to explore the surrounding California.
I made a circle around about 100 squaresand went in it and another circle around it.. all i found was the cathedral, boneyard, junktown, the hub, and... and a random encouter that got me killed, Since i was in real time mode suprisingly.
--After leaving what ever i came from, i died moments later...
BTW--- map travel is rediculously slow.. its like walking in a slightly fast pace.
How is the World War II Online.. i think it sounds like a cool idea.

Not worth it. 60% of time spent in transit, 30% of time spent in waiting and 10% of time spent in combat against an invisible foe that you have no hope of destroying, most likely an ai controlled unit. That's always been my experience with it, even though I get the mazochistic urge to revisit the game from time to time. Always regret it though.Kashluk wrote:And otherwise..?
