Sure, plus I think SD's own idea of creating a Mr. Fusion version of it is neat. I'm imagining the only places these things are available would be Vaults and to Scavenger markets.

AHah, sounds like a great idea... I missed a few posts because of my various system hiccups hence me not noticing the comment...

I gotta apologize, I know I promised to post the new fence and the oven by the end of last week, but some unexpected and urgent work came into my way. Maybe I would have managed it despite of this, but then OTB posted his demo map and I had to play this beauty as well (I´ll post my impressions in the Map Reviews Forum, OTB).
Anyway, here´s the new fence, and as far as I tested it, everything worked. I haven´t started with the new stove yet, and I´m not sure when I´ll be able to do so, I´m not very much at home the next weeks. But I included some signs, which I made just for fun, taking a break from monotonous wiremesh-fences:
1. a simple "GUNS" sign for your local firearms-dealer
2. a "GENERAL STORE" sign as demanded by Mr. StevieD (well almost, dimensions are a little bit different, hope you don´t mind)
3. some "MOTEL" signs
I just sent the tiles to OTB, MaxV, StevieD and Flamescreen. If anyone else wants them, let me know.

Heh, I just PM'd you, SD, not long ago about the tiles
I haven't looked at the signs yet, but I will say that you've done an awsome, awsome job with the wire fences. Expect to see 'em "in action" in the next map I release - Revenge1.

Absolutely no need to apologize, especially since playing my map was a reason for the delay!

A suggestion would be to use Redviewer to "export a TGA" thumbnail of the tile/sprite. This could be included in the webpage to give a quick picture of what the item looks like before you download.

Lemme look into that later today, and just ship those html files my way then I can start cranking out those pages on NMA...

Thanks for sending SD. It gotta to be usefull, it's related to some artwork I'm gonna include if not in this one, probably the next campaign.
About the stove: don't worry, and just adjust the proportions a bit. i checked it on Redviewer the other day, and the round pipe is fine after all.

Senor D,
These tiles are just great!
The fantastic General Store sign now has pride of place above my... err... General Store.
(I like the way the planks the sign's made from have been thrown together rough-shod, so the ends aren't flush.
)
Gents, I must confess that I have been sucked in by recent release
Medieval Total War, so my map has moved onto the side-line, for the moment. At least this time, I'll have the presence of mind not to delete my efforts, like a twat!
If I'm a bit quiet for the next few weeks, it's because my head's buried somewhere in High Medieval Europe.

Thanks for sending those tiles, Senor Deluxe!
The "Gun Store" sign has been added to my current map. I would have used the General Store sign as well, but it's not appropriate for the map. (It does look very good, though!)
I have also started adding the chain link fence to some of my older maps. Thank you very, very much for making these. They are both very well done and will also help to make some of the FO/FO2 maps I've made more accurate!
Cheers,
OTB

Uh... I'm kind of curious... how hard would it be to make a cave tileset. My first mission requires a cave set like the entrance to vault 13 from fo1.

There's a cave tile set already - Generic Tiles -> Cave
Or do you mean a new cave tile set?

excuse me if i'm wrong, but i don't think it has stalagtites and stalagmites like the cave at the begining of FO.... I guess I forgot about that one anyway though. I'll have to look into it.... I think that's about it.....
A little while back someone, i think red, made a clip of a vault door, could someone build a sprite using these tiles placed together in photoshop or something to make an animated vault door. I need one that opens and closes. or is there one of those too.... i don't know files completely, obviously.

When I made my maps I made some using the smaller stairs tiles... It's not an awesome solution but it works

No, there are no stalagmites or stalagtites in that tileset. However, you can always use the corner tiles to simulate those, although Red's solution sound like it would work. (It would probably look a bit cheesy.
)

There is a sprite for this already. It is located at:
C:\Program Files\14 Degrees East\Fallout Tactics\core\sprites\doors\Vault DOORS
The sprite's name is "Entrance.spr".

Well, to make it a bit more realistic I mixed a bunch of stuff... Like hiding the bottom of it with a big rock and using the smaller wall tiles as stalactics/mites which actually join. You need a vivid imagination. Of course I tried not to overdo them either as if there's too many it does end up cheesy, but a few here in there adds a bit of style.

Uh...I´m back. I´ve been away for the weekend and last week I was totally occupied with my own tileset, so much I didn´t even check the news on DAC.
First, thanks for your great feedback!
Red!, I haven´t sent you any of my tiles (although I wouldn´t have been able to make them without your help) just because I did not know, you´re building maps as well. Sorry for that. If you want to I´ll send them to you immediately. But I´ll send them to Odin as well, so soon you might get them from NMA.
I had some problems with my own tileset, mainly because I didn´t take into account that I´ll need tiles 4 and 1 units wide as well when I started my set. And having modelled and rendered already so many tiles going back and changing the concept was impossible. But I think I found a workaround in stretching the pattern on the smaller walls a little, not perfect but still it looks alright. So far I rendered all of the wall tiles I planned (110 tiles altogether, though many are just minor variations , but I needed to make those because otherwise you´d see the repititions in longer walls), I haven´t done any damaged or broken walls, maybe I´ll add those later, when caps, floor, roof and objects are done.
Btw, if anyone knows a good site with 50s architecture or pulp sci-fi, please tell me, I need inspiration all the time
I´ll get back to work now, thanks again everyone!!!
