Jesus, that site looks like one of those horrible Fallout mod projects'. Not only they rape the brotherhood of steel with a mr.T looking killing machine, they don't seem to care about the original purpose of the BOS at all. Look at the size of the sword(!) the ghoul is carrying, I have maybe seen swords like that in some japanese cartoons but definitely not in Fallout. That ghoul must have some muscles.
I bet they copied that deathclaw from Half-Life.

Reading the story part brings a tear to my eye. I can't even imagine playing that horrendous piece of shit.

Chucky C and your minions, Fuck you.

Story Section: The Vault wrote:...Regardless of the U.S. government's directives, Vault-Tec was not going to submit to a lottery and live underground with a bunch of human cattle in facilities that were intentionally defective. Thus Vault-Tec created their own facilities, removed from the larger Vault network - and kept secret from the U.S. government.

Vault-Tec didn't stop there. These secret, private installations were used to research the latest vault mechanisms as well as technologies that would benefit mankind in a post-nuclear environment. This, of course, included some extensive research with FEV.

No one can say for certain how Vault-Tec obtained FEV. Some think they had it all along, gaining it in a deal with the government, others think it was stolen from the government while VT was repairing one of the more guarded vaults....
Great. Now they're butchering the storyline even more. The execs at Vault-Tec must have some better economic sense then the execs over at Interplay. Good move boys!
Okay, that's just fucking disgusting, considering the Vault-Tec vault was the one blown to bits in Fallout. They had their own vault to live in, which they did, in Los Angeles. Having another one elsewhere is just piss poor writing.

I honestly can't see Vault-Tec building their own sekret vault netwerk without anyone noticing. especially considering all the blasting it'd take to carve one out, the man power to build it, and so on.

Likewise, I can't see anyone being able to steal the FEV out from under the United States goverment. The FEV was the most closely guarded Unites States technology. It's highly unlikely Vault-Tec knew it existed, let alone had the ability to get people on the inside of this project to slip them a sample. It'd be like MicroSoft stealing stealing the Air Force's Aurora spy plane. only much less likely since people actually know about the Aurora.

Furthermore, what would Vault-Tec even gain from having it? Well, other than some overly idiotic plot device for this game, there really isn't one. If Vault-Tec did anything with the virus, the United States government would have stepped in and pwn3d them like they did with Poseiden Oil, which they could have easily done with the justification of the vault project.

Damn, Chuck's a moron.

They need to just re-release all the old lucas arts adventure games and make em compatible with the latest systems. I think it'd be worth it. I would surely pay for it.

Someone else has, for the most part. Check out the SCUMM VM at http://www.scummvm.org
Obsidian:
Now working on Fallout: New Undermountain!

They promise to spend only a year on this title - only a year less than the original Descent to Undermountain!

Ahhhhh, this will be my long term memory test, this day, since I can't find
my travel pack, (short term memory).

Zero in on this...
..some overly idiotic plot device...
Was there still FEV in the ruined Military Base in FO2? I remember a struggle with a super mutie, standing in a green pool of FEV. A showdown that was very tough for my newbie ChosenOne, and it was the damn pet deathclaws he' sic'ed on my poor w'ittle C.O. that made me skull out some fire and manouver.

There were dreggs of FEV in FO2.

So why contrive the Vault Tech 'sekret' FEV angle.....!!?

Any Mutie with leadership/social skills (call it not charisma- no complicated RPG calibur SPECIAL allowed) could be a PLAY'A.. Super Loonie could have been contriving expanding the Mutant Army again: the Master's Dreams of Unity; the happy apple that fell in his lap. The time necessary to pull it together would have allowed our sweet NADIA and Mr.T. time to grow up and fill out, and super ghoul to learn how to bend spoons . And the BOS time to stew in it's bunker so the YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS, the kewl school, would have been bored and frustrated, out doing side work as the "law" while searching for pre war tech. Wanted enough social stability so they could cull for the cherries in the ruins, oh, and the kewl particle effects weaponry too. BOS "agents" infiltrating the towns and taking on the renta cop jobs would be good cover and get them IN the local politics, and ready to pull the strings, or recruit the ChosenOne to grab the Vertibird plans.... ready to use "subcontractors", hire talent off the street......

The two powers would have been searching for similar stuff, pre war tech,
and thus in a running battle for the Barrel's Bottom of High Science. Stopping Super Loonie would have saved the option for FO2. Or a sequal
FOBOS 2......

And so further.......

My point is the plot justifications are already IN the story of FO and FO2.
FOT could lever room for a less reclusive BOS.

Repeat the ol' boys.. ""Some people would rather climb a tree and tell a lie, than stand on the ground and tell the truth.""

Perhaps, being the control freaks they are, the present I'play Kampfgruppe: Team Chuck has blitz'ed the FO story, destroyed it to save it..... remade the world in their own image, denied three times, knowing the son of the maker, and clear cut "The Garden of Eden" for a parking lot
to shine their Romano"s Doom Edition Ferrari's....

Grim Fandango? Is that supposed to be funny? Well, I suppose it is - because it runs on XP.
