perhaps she could rip an ear-ring out, and the series starts with her piercing her ear? OMG MONEYSHOT
I'd probably do a completely different thing that you're doing, but that's alright. For instance a ring could be too small and her finger swells up until it eventually withers away or she snaps the ring off, also severing her past? Yea, kubrick to the max. I'd also have her fuck some old guy for information. It wouldn't be sexy really, just the guy sweating and shouting a lot while she watches something else and looks bored.
As for the car thing I was just wondering wether a speeding car smashed into her legs, sent her flying in the air like a rag-doll and then she walked off with a bone poking out of her leg. She'd then go and push it back into place and wait a few days, though she'd be deformed and probably need a walking stick or something.
I think the necklace idea as a whole is pretty weak. Either get rid of it or have something less conventional, like mabye a tatoo of her family or a lock of her mothers hair she tore out. Mabye she could cut the hair from her enemies and use it too put her hair into dreadlocks lol

CloudNine- good idea with the beads thing. And yes, once I get close to the release of the first episode, I'll put together a good website for the series.
Megatron- I...I don't know what to say... so I won't say anything. As for the necklace idea, yes, we've established that you don't like it. Unfortunately, a tattoo would be a little unrealistic (where did it come from? how'd she get it? why?), not to mention it's easily as cliched as the necklace idea; and it occurs to me that a lock of hair would probably dry up and disintegrate after being left in someone's pocket for more than a few months. Besides, old hair is gross. On the plus side, I think the dreadlocks idea is pure gold.

If you don't know what to say, just open your mouth and start talking. That's what everybody else does lololRobsH66 wrote: Megatron- I...I don't know what to say... so I won't say anything.
HAVE YOU NEVER HEARD OF PRISON TATOOSUnfortunately, a tattoo would be a little unrealistic (where did it come from? how'd she get it? why?),
it's a bad idea anyway
there's nothing in the bible about tats, therefore they aren't that cliche.not to mention it's easily as cliched as the necklace idea
you get natural dreads if you don't do anything too your hair, though it'd probably just be all lumpy. Anyway, it's a terrible idea.On the plus side, I think the dreadlocks idea is pure gold.
She should masturbate with her fathers severed finger, so his spirit possesses her too fight better. This could be the greatest GRAPHIC MOVIE :winnk: since ALL DOGS GO TO HEAVEN
The whole thing has several Boering overtones with a hint of Gheiness. Perhaps you should jump out of a window and then write a detective novel in hospital or something lolollol
I'll be sure to keep all that in mind.
It seems the number of new posts has slowed down quite a bit. There are a couple of new things I'm having trouble with, so I'll go ahead and list everything I'm looking for help with in hopes that we can get a good discussion going again.
First of all, I'm still open to suggestions about the keepsake idea. At the moment, I'm leaning towards the necklace idea (or some other form of jewelry), but if anyone has a different idea that hasn't been mentioned yet, I'd love to hear it.
Secondly, I've run into a new problem since I decided to simplify the plot. Actually, it's something we've discussed before, but now I need to come up with a new solution (although we didn't really even come up with one the first time). To make things convenient, here is an explanation of this subject from the first time we talked about it.
Here are a few possibilities for the source of the missiles:
-Idea A: A remaining faction of the US Government, making a vain attempt to restore order in the United States by destroying those who refuse to put down their weapons
-Idea B: Military forces who have been cut off from their leaders and have taken it upon themselves to restore peace by any means necessary
-Idea C: Nuclear submarines that survived the war and have returned to the United States homeland only to find it completely destroyed and infested with a violent society of killers; they see the warriors as enemies and are using their remaining nuclear ordinance in an effort to destroy them
-Idea
A group of survivors who have found a leftover nuclear stockpile, abandoned nuclear silo, or something of that nature; they are using the weapons to put an end to the violence, in hopes that a new society will be able to form once the fighting has been stopped
-Idea E: Other nations that were not completely destroyed in the nuclear war (this idea was suggested by someone else); these nations see the US survivors as a violent and lawless population that needs to be destroyed before the world can make a full recovery
Any of these ideas are good choices, but since I'm trying to keep the series short and simple, whatever idea I choose has to be something that fits into the current plot; something I can easily explain without having to go off into some big side story. It'd be great if we could figure out a way to tie this into the ending somehow, when Sera finds her way to the huge fallout shelter (possibly finding it populated by a small community of peaceful survivors), but that's not absolutely necessary if there's a better option.
The last thing I could use help with is my search for 3D models for the movie. I've assembled a large collection of vehicle and gun models, but I haven't been able to find many models with a post-apocalyptic theme. I don't have any tools to make my own 3D models, so I have to rely on what I can find online. I can make due with the materials I have right now, but if anyone knows of a place where I could find some good post-apocalyptic themed models (guns, armor, vehicles, buildings, or anything else that could prove useful), I'd really like to hear about it.
Those are the main issues I'm trying to deal with right now. If anyone can give me some assistance with any of these things, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks again for all the help!

Since discussing this subject, I've made the decision to remove the hunting machines from the movie, since they added unnecessary complexities and seemed out of place. However, the occasional nuclear bombings are necessary to the plot, so I still need to come up with a good source of the missiles. Basically, the idea is that some person or group of people is trying to put an end to the violent fighting by killing off all the survivors who have taken up arms, so they are sending leftover nuclear warheads to areas where large numbers of survivors are engaged in combat. In the movie, most of the combatants fight with weapons they have gathered in the wastes, and with their battle-equipped vehicles (think Mad Max, or more accurately, Interstate '76 if anyone here has played that game before). However, there are also these strange, mysterious vehicles that travel throughout the wastes, some of which Sera encounters at various points in the series. These machines use extremely advanced technology and are seemingly devoid of any living crew (in other words, they are artificially intelligent or perhaps remote controlled), and wherever they go, they kill everything that stands in their way. Equally mysterious is the occasional nuking of areas known to contain high levels of survivors. The warriors fighting in the wastes do not understand these threats, but simply accept them as another element of the hostile world in which they live.
