Naked Lunch you might be the one to ask, although biased, how good is reading Burroughs? I am interested, I have only seen the movie atm and I know it is pretty far different but - enlighten me?

It's a book from the former BND (german CIA ) agent Norbert Juretzko about interna of the particular agency. It's pretty dope so far.

It's good reading if you don't mind the oftentimes bewildering prose and plots mainly inferred from subtext or just made up from the whimsy of your own imagination. I enjoy his writing style a lot and many people just think he was a one-shot trickster with the cut-up technique but in reality he was an extremely capable writer on his own.

For starters, check out Port of Saints or City of the Red Night. Enjoy. 10-4 that good buddy

You might find Burroughs' stuff to read somewhat awkwardly at first, but you get used to his style pretty quickly. Having some previous experience with experimental prose will probably help.

Also, check out his 'spoken word' albums.

I have to read along with him though because he sounds crazy, my ceramics teacher was right when he said it sounds like he read it on heroin

It might be an audiobook I donno, he's talking the book and there's bizzaro quazi-jazz freakout stuff going on at pauses. It's longer than a CD though eh?

I just bought Bryce Courtenay's The Power of One, because I loved the movie when I was little. It's about Nazis and boxers and South Africa and suppressing savage negro beasts - I can't wait to start!

I'm reading Access All Areas by Ninjalicous for my english class. It's a guide to urban exploration(which is the topic of my project thing) and its pretty fucking dumb. The guy thinks that there is a lot of skill and thought involved in urban exploration, like ZOMG COVER UR FLASHLIGHT LOL. It goes into stuff about practicing hide and seek to improve your exploration skills.


The exploration community are kinda jackasses too, you have to be approved membership to see locations of all the good places to go which I kinda understand but if your willing to go to an urban exploration website then your not very likely to just go to these places to steal or vandalize stuff. I can understand from their point of view but I don't want to fuck around just to find the good areas. I might end up exploring an urban dumpster.
