No, really. Imagine GTA in FPP. Now we need to add many types of people there, so it probably won't be that big, but we make it randomised so it's allright.

So, like, you have your own house in lousy part of town, and when night falls you get out on the streets. You can do your job right there, or drag the whore(the OH SHIT I HEAR THE ICE CREAM TRUCK!!!!!111!1111oneone, the kid, dog, whatever) in some dark alley, or if you have a car kidnap her.
After kidnapping you can i.e. make her your sex slave, or following Megatron's idea cut her(scalpel or chainsaw way) and then i.e. send parts to victim's family.
In case of doing the job outside, it'll be up to you what to do after the job, like slicing her/his throat or letting her go. Of course police would do something, so you could expect patrols in areas you worked much and so on.

That's the outline. Get to it :drunk:

The problem with FEAR is that it doesnt evolve, same shit over and over, never anything new. The girl looses her scaryness after her face is revealed and after staring at her.. christs, just giving the player the option to look at her for as long as he wants is just ruining the scary part... This is alltough not free to do every time you spot her but once or twice. any how, stopped to play the damn thing after hunting a scare for 5 hours without a succsess!

SPOILERS(they all die)

FEAR was kinda scary but it was also not very good. The little girl in horror movies is always scary but it doesn't make it good. THe story was gay and I didn't even understand what the hell was going on all the time except that there were pyschic babies that went haywire. There aren't many guns and I ended up using the same two guns for the majority of the game(assault&shotgun) because everything else wasn't that good until you find some new stuff at the end.

The game always gives you the impression that you have allies helping you but its only described in text in the beggining of each level. The enemies are combat soldiers with different weapons, sometimes you will get some armor suited guy that won't come after you, so you jump out and shut him then go back. Expect to keep doing it for about 10-20 times unless you have grenades. There is also one of those things that is liek the machine at the end of Robocop, and it does the same thing as the armor guy. It doesn't come after you making it fuckin gay. [/i]

Articulate as ever Pooperscooper. If you played the game carefuly you might of found some hidden weapons that you wouldn't have gotten untill later on in the game

Yeah, a real awesome use they are. If you can't get any more than 12 shots for that weapon (since no enemies at that point use it) and it takes one weapon slot from some other gun that has plenty of ammo just lying around.

Like Kashluk said, there wasn't enough ammo. I didn't find different weapons just at the end but it still wasn't until half way and they are like one time use things.

I think every useful laptop being Alienware brand is a not-so-well hidden example of Monolith selling out to gaming PC vendors, which makes Monolith look bad. I think.

Solely because PC games are underdogs in the modern day gaming industry, of course. Monolith is breaking up with that image of 'long gunman' of the gaming industry.

While "Oooh secret weapons early" are ok, I think the other point that Pooper may have been trying to say is that, what fun is it that if the main sections of the game only present you with a choice of 4 weapons if you don't search nooks and crannies for weapons you'll barely use anyways? Or atleast thats something that comes up in my mind.

Most FPSeses only manage to have two or three useful weapons anyhow. If they can make four that you'll actually get some use out of, that's above average.

FEAR was alright, I tried it myself.
It's really nothing legendary or spectacular by any means, but it's pretty good as far as FPSes go.

It never really frightened me, either, but some parts of it were moderately creepy, so it worked.

So it's like HL2 and Q4?

This kinda sucks.

Drunk Posting Edit: The ending went too fast and was too boring, not a good ending.

Not at all. All his specs beat mine, and I ran it on medium-high at maxed resolution.

Well after doing some optimization to my pc (defragment, turning off background progs etc etc..) the game runs at 800x600 at medium detail, with all advanced options active (except for AA and FSA) with an average of 18-19 fps per second at single player which isn't exactly enjoyable. However, multiplayer at those settings runs just fine with an average 30+ fps.
Right now i am thinking to add more Ram to my system.I have an Asus A7N8X-Deluxe MoBo,which supports Duall DDR,but i currently have one 512mb module and thinking to add one more to take advantage of the dual DDR.Will there be any noticable difference?
