The concept art released so far look fine for a generic post-apoc setting, but they lack the special Fallout touch which was present in the E3 promotional poster. Still, I wouldn't put too much weight on these images, considering they're probably made by external concept art studios and the purpose of these images is mostly to set the tone for the imagery in the game.

If I were to pick something from these images, it would be that the setting is going to be more a notch darker and urban this time. The game seems to be located around the D.C. area.

My money is on that too. Of course that's rather logical when you think about it. If it's hard to surive in cities with some amount of shelters and equipment (unless it's all glowing that is...) then surviving in a bloody desert is even harder.

Of course in every "shit-hit-the-fan-guidebook" they tell you to get the fuck out of towns! They start looting and killing! Indeed, unless you're one of the looters
