FO3 Usermods (many compatible with New Vegas)
Something to keep an eye on is Project Beauty. Originally designed to make the women in the game not make you want to claw your eyeballs out, it's become a project to make everyone in the game appear more realistic. Talon mercs and raiders look grittier, most of the women no longer look identical, and the adult males don't all look like smooth-faced razor commercial models.
What pisses me off is this is done entirely with tools that were used by the Fallout 3 dev team. As with everything else they put in the game, their character designs are slapdash work.

I heard-- I just felt that posters on here would see me as less reliable a source if I suggested what the 13-year olds see as 'fappable.' I'm sensitive to the audience at hand, though the suggestion's a good one, and appreciated.
I think I also liked to the Talon faces-- either that, or numerous new faces for the Regulators. Whatever it was, it sounds familiar.

It started out that way, but it's turned into something to make the game more immersive. Of course, it makes too many of the women attractive, but I'm more than happy to take unreasonably attractive for the circumstances but realistic over the barely-human jobs Bethesda randomly generated.Manoil wrote:I heard-- I just felt that posters on here would see me as less reliable a source if I suggested what the 13-year olds see as 'fappable.'
There was some mod that did it independently - haven't seen any regulators with Project Beauty yet. The one that did it independently wasn't my cup of tea, though, because the facial features were too distinct so it made it jarring for me when I saw clones like that. Also, a lot of the faces were pretty cartoony. I think this mod strikes a good balance at making the faces for spawned NPCs realistic without making individuals too memorable.I think I also liked to the Talon faces-- either that, or numerous new faces for the Regulators. Just google it. I'd link it, but KoC will ban me.
