You don't need to pay Miles, he offers the upgrade as a reward of sorts for helping with the hydroponic farm, and (if I remember correctly) getting rid of the regulators and helping the blades (I might be wrong on the last part.) The only money involved is the $750 the librarian wants for the journals. Naturally, one does not need to pay the greedy bitch.

Sasha was an Interplay tradition. She was a dog who belonged to an Interplay dev who worked on EVERYTHING EVAR. It became a running gag to always include Sasha in the special thanks section of the manual. The Fallout team decided to outright put the pooch in. You can't do anything to, with or for her.

I'm unsure about the following:
Marked cards
Loaded dice

the waterchip is just a joke... telling you there was plenty of them out there!
the ball gag is something you wake up with after losing an armwrestling match with the super mutant in Broken Hills.
Basicaly you are butt f**** by the mutant if you lose!
The blow up doll is also a quest item for east side of broken hills.
The radio is a quest.. you give it to vic - so he can repair the other one for metzghar (spelling?)... i usually just ask to talk to Vic.. then blow away all the slavers.. then go and speak to him again and he joins up.. without the hassle of waiting for him to finish\fix radio.. (cant remember if he ever actually does)

My personal favorite of the items that can't be used are the mirrored shades. I just felt cooler having them in my inventory.

Also, anybody noticed the bug in NCR after defeating Darion and the Khans in Vault 15? After hacking into his computer and retrieving the NCR Spy Holodisk, you give it to Gunther and he rewards you with 4000 gold and 4000 experience. You can steal the disk back and get the same reward again and again and again. Not sure if this works in the patched version, though.

i'm currently playing fallout 2 and somehow i cant find feargus on NCR...i think it may be related because i killed westin and the other dude's ranch (the guy who supports vault city)...

i already killed dorian, and still i cant find feargus-gunthar is there waiting but the door is locked, and even if i pick it-it stays locked..
