When he said "canadian", he was referring to the DOLLARS, not the ounce. Anyway, I can get an ounce of high-grade for about $300. It seems like a lot, but when you consider that $5 dollars worth gets me high for about 3-4 hours, and that an ounce will last me about 6-9 months... it's not outrageous at all. Especially considering how much you dumbasses spend per month on ciggs.

6-9 months seems a bit too long to keep it from going stale, how do you keep it fresh, do you freeze it?

If pot was cheap I have no doubt I would, as it is I consider myself lucky if an ounce lasts me more than 2 weeks but that only happens if I excercise a lot of restraint and have no visitors.
