<a href="http://www.rpgdot.com">RPGDot</a> have a new <a href="http://www.rpgdot.com/index.php?hsactio ... article</a> where they talk about the RPGs of 2005. One of them is <a href="http://www.the-fall.com">The Fall</a>...<blockquote><i>Silver Style Entertainment’s The Fall: Last Days of Gaia had a difficult release in Germany, with numerous technical issues causing problems. The team has been quick to address these issues with a string of patches hitting in quick succession. No US or UK publisher has yet been announced but Lead Designer Carsten Strehse has indicated on the forums that a likely partner has been found. If you like the idea of a traditional party-based RPG in a post-apocalyptic environment, the English version should be fairly polished by the time it is released. German reviews have been generally positive, with particular praise for the strength of the quests and story.</i></blockquote>I am still interested in this title, despite the relentless cynicism many have towards it.

Yes, I agree. It can be that Fall sucks ass and stuff, but its getting highly positive reviews - I mean, 83%, 84% - its approximatly how much Vampire gained and Vampire was great. Plus, most of the reviewers praise story, concept and quests..so, do they really lie? I immagine they are positive against their own, national titles, but it can easily be that the game rocks actually.

At this point in time I have more interest in The Fall then any other PC title due out in the next six months or less. Stalker still runs a close second but I've developed a small amount of animosity about the Stalker release. It won't keep me from buying the game… unless I hear a few negative reviews prior to me getting a copy in my hands.
I am hoping The Fall will be as good as our German friends seem to think it is.
