Something that made me think
<a href="http://evilavatar.com/modules.php?op=mo ... EvilAvatar Thread</a>
"My faith in Troika is entirely dead now after Arcanum, Temple of Elemental Evil, and Vampire all launched as buggy messes. Hell TOEE was barely patched and supposedly Vampire will hardly receive any updates as well.
I'd rather have a new first-person Fallout from Bethesda than a bug-laden, barely supported Fallout from Troika. Granted Morrowind had some issues as well, but the support behind it was pretty damn good. "
Discuss. Part of me agrees, I'm not yet sure how big that part is though.

Hmmm. TES3: Morrowind was pretty buggy too (I talk about our Russian/Ukrainian *LICENSED* versions). As for the Fallout 3 in first-person, I don't think it is a good idea. Originally, Fallout was an isometric turn-based RPG. So 3rd incarnation MUST be like two previous. IMHO.Mr. Teatime wrote:<a href="http://evilavatar.com/modules.php?op=mo ... EvilAvatar Thread</a>

Exactly. Id rather fallout 3 attract a following of people that love it for its storyline and immersion rather than a game that sells millions because of Teh bestestt grafics manz. It wont sell well to the general public, but lots of games, even with various technical faults or problems tend to become remembered for things Other than graphics. Fallout 1/2 obvious examples. They had bugs (especially 2) but still, people loved them.Franz Schubert wrote:Have you people lost your minds? I'd rather have Troika come up with a great storyline and immersive atmosphere in a buggy game than some streamlined morrowind clone shat out by Bethesda.
Besides, Fallout 1 and 2 were bug-laden and hardly supported, not that I need to remind anyone.

You fucking suck.
George Bush lowered taxes so the Jews could kill Michael Moore.

hmm I can't agree with that, Troika games were buggy because of publishers , and afterall there were a great atmosphere ,storyline,normal npcs in them , I'd rather Fallout made by Troika ,not Bethesda .Mr. Teatime wrote:<a href="http://evilavatar.com/modules.php?op=mo ... EvilAvatar Thread</a>

Its about appearance, and first impressions.
Its easy to say "I'd rather have it buggy and have a good plot than be technically perfect and a bad plot", but I'd assume that most people aren't that tolerant of serious bugs.
This first post of mine is brought by Google for making sure I spelled "appearance" right.
