<strong>[Company -> Update]</strong>

<a href="http://www.gamespot.com/news/2005/01/05 ... ">Gamespot reports</a>.<blockquote><i>However, since the bankruptcy was from the district court where Titus' headquarters is located, it does not affect Titus' international subsidiaries which include: Cat Software, DIGITAL Integration, Uco Games and Avalon Interactive in Britain; Titus Japan; and Bluesky Software, Titus USA, and Interplay. In fact, the Agence-France Press news service quoted an unnamed source as saying that Interplay "continues to live for the moment."</i></blockquote>I guess we should put away the champagne.

I don't really care that much any more. They're going to die anyway, and I really thought this was it.

I'm not sure I understand this...which is why I'm not a business major. But if the company that owns Interplay folds, shouldn't Interplay be liquidated because it is one of its assets? I don't think the location where the court order originated matters.

Titus owns shares of Interplay. Those shares will need to be sold off in order to pay for creditors to Titus. Therefore we may see a possible scenario of, say, somebody like EA buying off those shares in order to get at a couple of juicy franchises.

Oh god. After both Need for Speed Undergrounds, I don't think I could cope with EA getting their hands on Fallout. I don't want "Trax". I don't want souped-up Nissan Micras. Because it doesn't matter how much nitrous, fluoroescent paint and neon lighting you install, nothing's gonna change the fact that it's just a crappy Nissan, and YOU ARE NOT A RACING DRIVER!
"When conversing about oligarchy, you must consider this point: Many children are taught from an early age that monarchies are primarily benevolent, and are given very little to discourage this opinion until at least adolesence. Even more prevalent are stories about the supposed benevolence of heirs to the throne, symbolising a cycle which they are taught is good."

I'd have to agree with RAK. EA officially possess the Sadim touch. It all becomes shite. :drunk:
