Apocalyptic mini-series comic in the works

Post by Stainless »

[Literature -> Images] - More info on Literature: Night Club

For those of the comic inclined, Wolfman Walt has let us know that a new apocolyptic 4 part mini-series comic is being created.

Mike Norton and Mike Baron are writing a mini series
about this group gathered for what apparently is the apocalypse in Boston. The
story is about 2 runaways, some mysterious guy, and the badass priest
coincidentally named Walter as they fight zombies as the world ends, seeking apparent
solace in a Boston nightclub.

That sounds like Shaun of the Dead. Which I found kind of funny.

It was one of the worst films I've seen. And I even liked Troy, so.

Shaun of the Dead was horrid. I think there was about 4 funny gags in the entire movie.

wtf.. I bet you even liked gladiator you fucked up piece of labia.
ok, shaun wasnt a great mov, but it had zombies.
and troy wasnt even true to the whole troy story.

I wonder when hollywood will stop making remakes and/or copies of japanese and asian movs and start making real movs.... the only thing produced not being remakes or copies of asan films is chit.
reminds me of the gaming industry....
the only good games recently are sid meiers remakes.
hmm.

Shaun was pretty rockin'. You people must be without taste or something. Shut up, this is the internet, I win the argument.
suppose you're thinking about a plate of shrimp. suddenly somebody will say like 'plate' or 'shrimp' or 'plate of shrimp', out of the blue, no explanation.

Shaun of the Dead was an amusing film, yet Mr. Pegg was more consistent in Spaced and Big Train. Big Train was brilliant.

*reminisces about the staring competitions*

Yes. :drunk:

No, actually I never got in the whole Gladiator hype. Cunt.

I liked Troy because I expected bullet-time Legolas slaughtering 45784230240 people, and you even had a dialogue! Whoa.

And Shaun? First it was funny, then it was about some kind of loser, then it was dramatic, it just couldn't decide what the fuck to be.

Shaun of the dead was ok, considering the whole movie was a zombie flick parody, OMG WINCHESTER I COULD'VE NEVER SUSPECTED. It got kinda boring on the later half, when it tried to be too much of a serious survival horror movie. The beginning and the early half was golden with all those funny lil' gags and the ending was pretty good, the 28 days later referance was a nice touch.

The whole movie was a nice touch if you appreciate Zombie movies at all.

But as Atoga mentioned there doesn't seem to be a lot of taste in this thread.

Troy? Christ. Japanese remakes? Christ.

Just watch student fims you jerks D:

Shaun wasn't really a 'parody' of zombie movies, it was a comedic zombie movie. I liked it.

Watch whatever the fuck because who gives a shit B)

edit: when the super wasteland terror team writes another comic will it be news?

So you liked it because it wasn't as god-awful as you thought it was going to be? What the fuck are you like?

Shawn of the dead was hilarious but it is probably more condusive to my tastes because so much of the film is applicable to me.

And Blargh, those staring competitions were indeed hilarious.

Incidentally Blargh, I thought you were antipodean? I didn't think those programmes would be all that popular over in Oz?

fyi I was going to write another comic but I can't really be bothered because it gets about 3 replies anyway. Imagine it's about zombies and I'd bring davide back in an amazing plot-twist ok.

You can probably work out where blargh lives by his posting times? Or even his ip address D:

They aren't really. Not when compared with the usual shite the 'vast majority', a.k.a the cretins enjoy. Vegetative bollocks such as Big Brother, Australian Idol, the latest awful imports from America and their Australian clones, The Bill and so on. Nonetheless, there are some of us with a taste for quality comedy such as Big Train, Black Books, Father Ted and The Office etc. I acquire my fix via the Internet and assorted DVDs, though the ABC will occasionally broadcast something good and worthwhile, a gesture of defiance against the government that would kill it through lack of funding, perhaps.

For the most part, I suspect you are correct. :drunk:
