The
Excutive Producer of The Hitchhiker's
Guide to the Galaxy, Robbie
Stamp, made an appearance at the London Scifi
yesterday. He gave a talk and a slideshow, revealing some
interesting tidbits.

The
the slide changed to one of Martin Freeman and Mos Def standing in the
rubble that was Aurthur Dents house just after Ford has given him a
towel. Stamp explained that Mos is a highly competant actor who does
the part justice, was not going to rap his way through and was not
hired because of any ethnic diversity what-so-ever. so as Jen later
quite rightly pointed out "If they guy with Douglas Adams' hard drive
says he's ok, then who are we to argue". My fears of Mos Def are dealt
with.

Well, at least Mos Def is supposed to be good in this movie. I actually really like Mos Def. He most definitely (good lord, i'm dumb) was fun to watch in the Italian Job. Anyways, you can check out the whole description of the evening at this forum post at the other DAC.
